Even thought it is USB 2.0, this is perfect for connecting peripherals such as a wireless USB mouse/keyboard, Wacom tablet, and other devices. I have this for a few months so far and it never let me down or had any issues whatsoever and I will buy this again.

Wire and male connector from the hub to the computer female USB port is about 2 1/2" long and is connected to the inside of the hub in such a way that it is too stiff to allow the hub to lie flat on a table. So use of 2 ports on one side of the hub is not possible without causing bending pressure on what is plugged into those ports.

I placed this next to a BestBuy surge protector that has a usb output port. And it powers up about 4 of my statues that have a light up feature.
