I was told to bring in my DVD reader (because they weren't allowed to have their own in the service section!) to attempt to load older programs onto a new computer and when it was hooked up, 3 USB ports immediately "fried". One of the four was still working so I HAD to purchase this in order to have functional USB ports. I can have the computer fixed because of my protection package....and not be able to have or use it for ANOTHER three weeks.
