I really like that it’s powered by an adapter. For someone who doesn’t have much real estate in terms of usb ports with their computer, this is a life saver. Only negative is the bulky adapter block.

A good option if you have a lot of peripherals that keep randomly shutting off - what's happening is the USB ports don't have enough power for them. Powered hub takes care of that.
