The extension from the wall isn't enough to be very helpful, and more importantly, it's not designed to sit level once you push the TV back to the wall. We installed the back plate perfectly level but since there's no leveling adjustment after you mount the TV, we had to shim the bracket to get the TV level. It's been 15+ years since I've had to do that.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve installed many TV’s on walls over the years, but have never encountered a problem with the design. I purchased a Samsung 50” 8000 series TV from Best Buy and the this TV wall mount. The problem was with the 2 brackets that attach to the TV, that do not allow the TV to slide back and forth on the TV mount. The bolts on the wall mount stick out to far and stop the TV from going past them to center the TV. This model TV has the brackets on the TV only 6 inches apart. If the TV has them 12 or more inches apart, you may not encounter this problem. This review may not make sense until you get everything home, but the brackets shoukd be designed to slide on the rails without hitting the bolts in the middle. The bottom of the brackets don’t clear the bolts, but the tops do… amazing this was designed like this and nobody else has written about this issies .

It will hold your tv up on the wall but the movement features do not work very well. The tension adjustments are so fickle it becomes either too loose or too tight. There are better options out there, just spend the extra money and get something of better quality.

Mounting on a concrete wall?

The parts for mounting in concrete are not included. The instruction manual gives you a number to call to have them shipped to you, but I had to talk to three different people before I was given a different number to call, only to be told that it might take up to two weeks to ship the parts. So for now my tv is sitting on the floor, waiting.....

Looking at the back, as you mount brackets to the TV, the left bracket isn't made properly, or per the schematics in the manual. It will not swing towards th inside, as is needed, to compliment the motion of the right side bracket. I believe Best buy has a Manufacturing issue on hand, NOT a design problem. Fix this issue, and I would give it a 5 Star!! Of course, after you give me a fixed bracket assembly.
