I've loosed the tension and still very stiff and hard to move in and out almost impossible Is it only made to be adjusted and moved in and out without the TV on?

After purchasing two others from different stores that were terrible, I found this one on Best Buy and so happy I did! Instructions were simple and it took no time to get onto the tv and wall. I cannot recommend this product enough!
