It comes straight out and you can slightly tip it downward but not much. Very disappointed. The one we just removed was so much better. If straight out works for you then you might like but no what I wanted. Plus you can't adjust it on the wall to center it if your studs aren't centered.

It allows you to see the TV from various angles and allows easy access to the back of the TV and wall plugs. However, be careful, you can easily pinch your cables when pushing the TV back flat; so, there needs to be a built-in cable management system. Also, every time I push it horizontally level, it falls back at a slight slant, which is irritating.

I replaced them with screws from Home Depot and everything was fine.
