This wall mount is very sturdy & easy to install. The only drawback for me is that I didn't realize it doesn't tilt up or down. It does have a great range for side to side & in & out motion.

I've installed about a dozen different mounts. I got this one just b/c I had Total Tech and didn't want to hear any complaining during installation. The install schedule was booked for 3 weeks so I just did it myself. Completely amazing it comes with a paper template which meant everything lined up perfectly. The mount does come with Lag screws for mounting into a stud or concrete/brick only. Since I was using the full motion feature I went ahead and used the studs putting the tv about 6" off than my idea location. Personally for tilt only applications I think a pair of 1x4 across your studs and then mounting this to those 1" would work just fine. I have an older 80lb 60" TV over my fireplace. When I upgrade to a 75", I'll replace the simple tilt mount with this full motion one. Plugging in anything is a PITA with a tilt only mount.

I've read many of the reviews and many mention that the mounting bracket's holes are designed for exactly 16" on center. This is true. It's fine if they are a little closer but real bad if they are a little wide. Let me be clear I mean A LITLLE!. Ok so how do you deal with this. Partly it depends on the size of your TV. The mount itself is quite heavy duty. I think it would work fine for a TV that weighs up to 50 to 60 lbs. NOT the 100 stated in the description. I cut an oversized 3/4 inch plywood backer board and attached it to a 2x4 stud at the center of the wall mount. Then screwed the mount to the plywood. It easily supports my 32 pound 55" tv. Keep in mind that the farther away from the wall the more torque is placed on the mounting points. The mount itself is very strong and well made. Be sure to tighten the screws which hold the vertical supports attached to the TV so that it will not slide on the mounting rails. Don't forget this or you may watch your TV slide off the rails the first time you try to move the mount. Is it perfect, no. It would be with a few changes but for the price its pretty ok.

Very pleased with the wall mount. Installation was very straightforward, and our 70" TV was mounted with ease.

Bracket was easy to bolt into the studs in the wall, and attach the TV on it. It moves very well in all areas where we want to watch TV from.
