Unit works well in all but vertical tilt mode. The bolts holding and controlling the vertical tilt were stripped at the factory so the unit would not hold vertical alignment on its own. I had to substitute a bolt to make it work. Maybe you will have better luck but be prepared!

There are some better ones out there that work better. The spacing for the studs isn’t accurate for this. Trmplate is paper and doesn’t even have the holes already cut out.

I highly doubt this will win the giftcard but it is the truth and it is unfortunate. The decline in this store has been epic. What used to be a vibrant store is now a ghost town with clearly not enough employees to help the 3 customers that were in the store. To wait to be helped is one thing to wait to be helped & met with sheer incompetence is entirely different. For best buys sake, I hope this is not corporate wide and if it is they will soon be joining circuit city in the archives.

The second set of geek squad told us our 75 inch TV (which also happens to be a pricier brand) is too heavy for this plastic bracket. The admitted that the initial geek squad team should not have recommended this TV mount for our TV. They said it is going to potentially break again it’s just a matter of time

If it’s more than 16-inches, walk away now. The wall mount just isn’t meant for all interior wall stud gaps. Just buy the Sanus option. Had a much better install experience. Better instructions too. The Best Buy one is too basic.

Due to the design of the mounting plate, there is not a lot of flexibility. The geek squad installer has run into situations where this mount will not work several times.
