Instructions are pretty clear for all types of walls. If you're handy (unlike Red Greene and Tim the tool man), you'll have no problem doing this yourself (you'll even have the vacuum hose up to the hole while drilling). If you're unsure, get or hire someone who is, because you don't want your big flat TV falling off the wall! It works great with our Sony 55" The structure is very light, so it's easy to install and manipulate, and it is engineered so well, it's not at all flimsy. I've seen some heavily built ones that are flimsy, due to poor design. This one is rock solid!

I've got a 65" Sony XBR installed on this mount and there were no issues installing and no issues maneuvering the TV into different positions. 1/2 the price of more expensive options.
