The mounting should have a clip/hanger system as do normal tv mounts. Theres no reason I should have to line up two screws and bolt it on. Half of its flawed back plate design is that its not designed to be rotated 90 degrees. Therefor its odd shape would actually be beneficial. Half flaw of my monitors design conflicts with the back plates design by being in the way of the ports. Although this would have been avoided if the plate was designed with a 90 degree rotation option. To make this work, because there are no other reasonably priced swivel wall mounts, I had to drill two new holes perpendicular of the current swivel mounting screws. I had to use all the spacers and washers, along with more washers of my own. The only screws provided that would fit my monitor were way too long and forced me to use all the spacers, along with some washers so the screws wouldnt bottom out in my monitor. Fortunately the construction quality is solid. I cant recommend this unless you have DIY abilities to modify it. Or make for certain your monitor/tv have its ports not in the way. If they made two changes to its design, it would be more user friendly. 1. be 90 degree rotatable. 2. Have a top hook/clip/hanger system to hang the monitor first and at the bottom a fastener system. 3. (Optional) A different up/down swivel system. Current system is to loosen nuts/bolts and tighten them after desired position. 4. (Optional) Its not centered when fully swiveled/parked up against the wall. The back plate mount arm could be designed to actually clip into the swivel, thereby physically keeping it stationary as well as centered. Although not necessary to keep it stationary, but optional structure is always welcome.
