Since they didn't have HDMI to VGA adapters, I tried this. Picture doesn't come through. Just fair warning if you are looking for a way to connect a monitor, the USB may not cut it for you.

Spent over an hour on chat and phone with Geek Squad. Finally found driver for manual download and install. For Mac OS 10.15? From 2021 doesn't work on 12.7.4. Searched on Internet, this was latest driver that I could find.

That would make it more secure, but it does the job. I did also have to go searching for the driver online because the instructions that were included did not help.

My one complaint is that there is no way to screw the VGA connector to the adapter. Without the ability to screw the adapter to the VGA cord, the connection can become loose if the cords are bumped or moved.
