Tape broke in the vcr. Cheaply made.dont recommend.

Used the tape one and it messed up the heads so tape would not play just a noise and a blue screen I had to manually open the machine and clean the heads

I bought this as my old head cleaner was out of fluid and over 30 years old. The new one immediately broke. I added some drops to the 30+ year old head cleaner and that worked.

This product didn’t change a thing. A waste of money.

So I recently purchased a VCR DVD combo player. Yes in 2025! I was scrambling online to get a head cleaner. I stumbled upon this product on Best Buy’s website. I purchased the item for in-store pick up and travel to the closest Best Buy that had this product available. I was delighted when I got home. It worked like a charm. Clean the VCR part of my player right up and was able to watch videos on VHS once again. just like old times! Fuzzy but yet somewhat clear picture and quality due to the cleaner. I highly recommend this product and for the price you can’t beat it even on Amazon or other online outlets. Way to go Best Buy you saved me a few days of headache with this one waiting on shipping.

This item is one of the better VHJS cleaning products over the years, Even self cleaning heads need a hand every once in a while. I love that I can still purchase legacy items from Best Buy, VHS cleaner, cassettes, vinyl.. Thanks for keeping class electronic devices and the care items they need in your inventory.

Perfect problem solver! When you need to pull out the old VCR and the tape head clogs, and your 25-year-old head cleaner fluid is dry (or turned to a sticky ooze), this is the thing to order! Thanks, Best Buy, for stocking this item!

Mom is sick with cancer and watches old VHS tapes on a all in one tv/vhs player. It began to have trouble playing those tapes, and they were showing fuzzy. I didn't know what to do since they don't make VHS/TV combos and she has a large collection she likes. So we decided to try cleaning the heads of the VHS recorder. This worked so well. Its just a tape with a hole that you put cleaning fluid in. You play it then rewind, and the tape cleans the heads. It worked well, and now mom is back watching her old films again. This is a great set, and I'm glad best buy still had it in stock.

Head cleaner easy to use.. price was reasonable and I picked up at local Best Buy.

Worked great, cleaned my VCR as it should, I would add a few more drops than recommend.

I had been using Scotch dry video cassette(s) for years. They worked alright, albeit temporarily, as the heads would get dirty again. The BB Essentials wet cleaner, cleaned well enough (two passes) that my old "Fantasia" VHS is as good as I've ever seen it. Squeaky clean. While I rarely use videotape anymore, it's nice to have the unit in good working order.

I thought I couldn't find this item in place but Best buy head cleaner for my VHF and it worked perfectly... I will be shopping at Best buy from now on because they give you better deals and if anything is wrong it will replace it.

The VCR head cleaner worked well and improved the tape playback on my VCR.

I would give this a zero stars if I could. I used this following all the instructions exactly. Put 3 drops in the designated hole. Pressed play for 20 seconds (timed it with my phone) pressed rewind and removed from vhs player. After that I tried to view a vhs tape - and no video would come thru only audio. I had already viewed this tape prior to the cleaning and it was playing fine. I decided it was just a fluke. I tried this same vhs cleaner tape on a different vhs player (that I had determined worked a bit better for my conversion of family vhs tapes to mp4 files). Followed the instructions exactly again when cleaning this vhs player. As soon as I was done same exact issue as the first time I used it on the other vhs player. Vhs would not play any video or audio and an actual message came up telling me to clean my heads on the machine. I eventually had to take the entire vhs player and carefully clean the heads with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth to get it working again - something I really really didn’t want to do. Walk don’t run away from this device. It only makes things much worse.

Easy to get stuck in VCR. The type does not absorb the cleaning liquid very well.
