They work just like you think they would; pricey, but for some games, it's "2 controllers in one" if multiplayer is your thing. What choice do you have anyway?

The best part of having a switch if breaking it out in groups. These are pricey but definitely worth it. I'm a big fan of the fluorescent colors too!

My niece is a hardcore game, so occasionally they may break one or two video game controllers. This was a good replacement and color change.

Although they are different color, these joy cons work just like the ones that come with the Nintendo switch.

My family loves playing super mario deluxe together. The sifferent colored controllers make it easy to determine who is who while playing.

If you have a Nintendo Switch then there is no minimum number of joy cons to have around. Always best to have plenty available. The issue with the drift is annoying if it happens but thankfully Nintendo repairs for free.
