    Incompetent support, false promises

    I bought a laptop and the membership to get a discount on the laptop. I was supposed to get 2 $25 reward certificates due to the membership. I received them, and then tried to make purchases using them within the 1 month promotional period. One of them correctly went through, but the item the second certificate was supposed to apply to, Best Buy cancelled the order because they didn’t have it in stock. That’s fine, I’ll order something else, but the credits just said pending and hadn’t been returned to me after a week. I contact support (within the promotional period) and they assure me they’ll be returned within 5 days. I explicitly ask if they’ll go through because 5 days from now wouldn’t be within the promotional period. They assure me they will. Of course they don’t, so I contact support again a few weeks later. They redirect me to rewards, say they’ll fix it, and then assure me that they’ll send me an email within 48 hours to update me. No email update. I left every conversation with support feeling positive, like I was being helped, but then all the promises were empty and nothing was ever actually fixed. I’ve wasted too much time on the phone and online with the support chat, where I literally saved the chat transcripts that promised resolution. I will not be renewing this membership. Rewards only save me money if I can actually use them.

    I don’t use my membership as often as I should but right now I’m using it for price check in my laptop and I get great deals on a lot of things. If you have expensive electronics and use them often, get the membership it’s really helpful

    My first purchase would have paid for sixty percent of my membership. That was good enough for me to gamble that i would make another purchase over the next 12 months to at least break even. Unfortunately it turn out not to be the iPad model I thought it was, so I canceled the membership with the rest of my order. I will likely repurchase a membership with my next major buy.

    Best Buy services from sales to post sales services are excellent. I called them multiple times to reschedule my installation appointment which they did wothout any hassle. A post sale device what matter for me and for anyone I believe. The membership is worth for sure. No doubt on it. So I would recommend Bestbuy 100% to all my near and dear over any other store.

    INFORMATION GIVEN FOR "BEST BUY PLUS" WAS NOT CORRECT. I WAS INFORMED I COULD LOG INTO APP AND REMOVE CREDIT CARD FOR AUTO RENEWAL. I TRIED WHILE IN STORE AND IT WAS NOT TRUE, WE CALLED AND WAS INFORMED THAT CANNOT BE DONE. I WAS NOT MAD BECAUSE THE PERSON WHO ASSISTED ME WITH MY PURCHASE WAS AWESOME UNLIKE ANOTHER MANAGER WHO WAS COLD AND UNHELPFUL.

    I would give a half of star if possible. I am very disappointed in this membership, I would tell people to not waste their money. This membership as done nothing for me snd it’s just a marketing deal to get 55 dollars out of you annually. I will not be renewing my membership until Best Buy gets there act together. My Final draw was the release of the new nvidia graphics cards. Best Buy plus membership are advertised as giving you first priority on newly released products which was a lie. I had the 5090 & 5080 both saved and selected notify me the day Best Buy added it to there online store before the pictures of the product were even available. Was online before 6:00am on Jan 30,2025 to hopefully be able to purchase one of these GPU. Besides the website having there issues Best Buy allowed BOTS to buy up every bit of stock in there inventory. Over 24hrs later I still have not received an email about there release nor got any kind of Exclusive access like you guys claimed to give when I signed up. So at this point Best Buy is falsely advertising there Best Buy plus memberships! I spend a good amount of money at Best Buy locations and Best Buy online. This has definitely put a bad taste in my mouth and definitely gonna take my business elsewhere unless best buy can get there act together and rectify the issues and concerns from there customers.

    Although within the standard price match period Best Buy matched their reduced price on a Washer/dryer set and I was able to take advantage of 24 month financing. Additionally Best Buy made the price match at a different location and city and it took about 15 minutes.
