I I bought a membership at the same time I ordered an open box LG washing machine for my daughter. It was installed on a Thursday, but when it was first used, it sprayed water all over. A Best Buy tech came out on Saturday and said that it was not repairable. After lengthy negotiations by telephone from Europe with several Best Buy representatives about whether a "used" machine of the type I bought could be replaced on warrenty, I agreed to pay an additional $85 to have it replaced. I was not wholly satisfied with this outcome.

It’s fine, but experiencing returns at Beat Buy Northridge has not been good. I couldn’t return the studio display there despite being within the return period. So it seems despite the membership the store can still deny.

The access to Geek Squad support is great to have - you never know when you will need it, and you will probably need it for something. Also, purchasing this membership allowed me to get a discount on the main product I was purchasing at the same time, and the discount was more than what I had to pay for this membership, so the membership was in effect free - it was a no-brainer to get.

Awesome. You can get it for the protection and then if you choose, you can cancel with refund. But the main thing is you get protection, and it doesn't cost that much
