    I ordered a new laptop online. I could not get it out of safe mode. All of the agent speak English with an accent and have Indian names. They must have a script because the answer to everything is Bring it to the store. I live 120 miles round trip from a store which is why I buy online. After hours on chat an agent sent me a return label and assured me I would receive a replacement. Yesterday I spent another couple hours chatting with India and was informed that the "back end people" canceled my replacement and my return. They said the computer that I sent to them yesterday by UPS would be returned to me. So here I sit on a holiday weekend, no laptop, no replacement, and they still have my money. The only answer seems to be come into the store.

    Ive been a bestbuy totaltech member since it was launched. It was called Total Tech Support or TTS before and thats when it was great! A lot of services that were available for free (car audio installations, dash cam installations, tv mounting etc.) now have a $50+ charge on it. There is also now a deductible on warranty claims that was not there before. The only reason i have totaltech now is their 2 year warranty inclusion on products. I doubt ill be renewing this membership next year though as it has turned into a cash grab. Shame.

    Doesn't cover hardly anything with too many exclusions and ridiculous diagnostic fees that don't include reapir or parts and labor.

    I have been a total tech member for many years. They have taken away several benefits which made the purchase of this product a good deal. I am not all that happy with the new modifications. Installs and webroot use to be free now they are not. I only still get it because of Geek Squad

    The total tech program was previously a great value. This summer (2023), the program has changed to include multiple tiers. To obtain the same services & warranties, you now have to pay twice as much. It is no longer the same good value. Because the program has changed, I also lost access to the 2nd year of a 2 year warranty that was previously included with total tech. It almost feels like a bait and switch.

    Can't offer much commentary on the info you give me about purchases and dates. There are errors! Some of these items I do not have or did not purchase on the dates indicated. I am not getting value of what I have paid and not used, and don't know how to get more simple help or home visit for what I do have and can't carry in or connect by myself.

    Every year it cost more and you get less. When Total Teck started it was an amazing value. Every year they stip moore out of it.

    After my last support ticket could not be solved by the Geek Squad "experts", I went home and watched a couple of YouTube videos and was able to fix it myself. I know nothing about hardware. Very frustrating and disappointing experience.

    Very disappointed in the change in terms. Once I no longer have several appliances being covered (in a year), I most likely will not renew. Total Tech was much better for me. I also find the support I have received very low in helpfulness.

    Best Buy Total Changes to Membership

    Very disappointing and too many major changes to the program. We will keep it this year but will reevaluate for next year renewal. Only aspects of interest in the new program is the 24 month warranty, 90 return policy.

    I have been a member for years and have yet to have anything fixed. I know what they can't do, but I have yet to hear what they can do. What is the purpose of scheduling an appointment if, no matter what, it's a pick-up one week later, regardless of the issue? Barring some small miracle of customer service, I am probably going to cancel.

    The cost of the membership does not cover the savings. All you are really getting is 20% discount on repairs. ie. $20 savings for service visit. waste of money! also, service was poor. Electric oven control board shorted out because power was NOT hooked up to code. called for washer service and appointment was two weeks out.

    Its okay...the value has gone down over the last few years. They keep pulling perks OUT of this. Original BBPP warranties were by far so much better..miss those days...now you pay for a warranty and still have to pay to replace...but only twice then warranty goes out..
