Membership is good but not a great value. Costs are high given benefits are rare. Each store has a reason why membership benefits do not count for this or that transaction.

I wish there were member prices for baseball, football, and basketball cards.

It’s really good to have the total tech protection, for my devices instead of always trying to pay for insurance when I buy a product

We have used the protection plans many times on games controlers and headsets. It real handy when you have kids.

Best Buy TotalTech membership used to be a good value when it came with the benefit of free installation. The new Best Buy Total plan no longer includes that benefit, so they lowered the price of the membership from $200 to $179 per year. That's a 10% reduction in price for about a 75% reduction in benefits, in my view. I think Best Buy is a hopelessly lost organization largely run by pink-haired millennials that don't give a crap about their customers. My prediction: Because of the elimination of the free installation benefit, Best Buy customers will shop elsewhere, and Best Buy's sales will decline by 30% to 40% and they will be out of business before 2030. They've totally lost me as a customer.

I love this service now it looks like they are charging a fee on some repairs.

I like the Membership. A better Discount, on shopping would be nice. Apple Care is just Ok.

My total membership entitles me to a refund is the price on a purchase reduces within 60 days of my transaction. However, the is not automatic. One must find the lower price and then apply for a refund. I have spoken with 3 different store employees and 4 different people in the Best Buy call center. Each has contradicted another - time consuming and frustrating experience. The effort is rarely worth the outcome. Makes me regret paying for a total membership. The entire process is a clown show with little regard for customers.

Value of membership is solid. Geek Squad technical support could use some improved interaction during chat and/or conversations as well as expertise.

Cost of membership went up and services were removed. I would like to see Best Buy have two different memberships. One for installation, removal, and troubleshooting home theater.The other for phones,tablets,laptop's and desktops. I would recommend Geek Squad to a friend but with hesitation on the policy of the membership.

The only real value is the 2 year warranty for the items you buy. The premium designers are really not very good and no longer come out to your house to help you pick out the right items for your purchase. Installation of your new products used to be free but now the charges are much too expensive to warrant using Best Buy.

Seems to be good for issues with your computer and extra protection on items purchased.

This is getting a little pricey. It was great when the Geek squad came to your house to set up electronic things. But they don’t come out anymore.

Just like many things these days, prices go up and benefits go down. If you buy alot of tech here, i would recommend this, but otherwise they eliminated the home consult and require you to keep the coverage or lose your insurance and coverage on your purchases. Advice - buy all tech at the same time and drop the membership after 2 yr coverage window.
