Good - yet not consistent across stores.

Good Bye Best Buy!

The new Best Buy Total plan no longer includes that benefit, so they lowered the price of the membership from $200 to $179 per year. That's a 10% reduction in price for about a 75% reduction in benefits, in my view. I think Best Buy is a hopelessly lost organization largely run by pink-haired millennials that don't give a crap about their customers. My prediction: Because of the elimination of the free installation benefit, Best Buy customers will shop elsewhere, and Best Buy's sales will decline by 30% to 40% and they will be out of business before 2030. They've totally lost me as a customer.

Not worth the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My total membership entitles me to a refund is the price on a purchase reduces within 60 days of my transaction. However, the is not automatic. One must find the lower price and then apply for a refund. I have spoken with 3 different store employees and 4 different people in the Best Buy call center. Each has contradicted another - time consuming and frustrating experience. The effort is rarely worth the outcome. Makes me regret paying for a total membership. The entire process is a clown show with little regard for customers.

Membership needs improvement

I would like to see Best Buy have two different memberships. One for installation, removal, and troubleshooting home theater.The other for phones,tablets,laptop's and desktops. I would recommend Geek Squad to a friend but with hesitation on the policy of the membership.

Total membership is not worth buying.

The premium designers are really not very good and no longer come out to your house to help you pick out the right items for your purchase. Installation of your new products used to be free but now the charges are much too expensive to warrant using Best Buy.

Price going up - benefits going down

If you buy alot of tech here, i would recommend this, but otherwise they eliminated the home consult and require you to keep the coverage or lose your insurance and coverage on your purchases. Advice - buy all tech at the same time and drop the membership after 2 yr coverage window.
