    I have Best Buy Total and my washing broke down and I tried to set up a service call and the person on chat would not schedule a service call since I did not buy the washing machine from Best Buy. I had to hire another company to fix my washing machine.

    The membership is much less helpful than it used to be. Major appliances that are covered devices can’t be delivered. They can’t have technicians out as I am 42 minutes from nearest location.

    Not especially happy with the membership program.. It would really be nice if at least it allowed for delivery charges to be free. Purchased a microwave recently and when all the additional charges were added up, the cost of the microwave doubled.

    If I could have been an actualual Geek Squad member and eliminated the contractors it would be rated as Excellent; However, I have been extremely disappointed with the change in operations.

    Did not know I had to have an account with Samsung to use the tv, have not been able to sign in for an account, very disappointed, if I had not got rid of the box I would have returned it.

    Had a Samson washer. Was told it’s covered by the total protection plan. Yet, had to pay to service call. $110.00 than was told I had to buy the motherboard $800+ plus labor cost to install. So my question is, what’s covered by the total protection plan?

    I appreciate the benefits of the new program, but I am dissappointed that some of the Total Tech services were eliminated. So glad we got our new TV installed before ours expired.

    I am very disappointed in the geek squad. In the years I have subscribed to this service, I have required their expertise at least 4 times. EVERY time their information was incorrect and misleading. Free shipping, installation, and warranties are the reasons I will continue coverage, but Best Buy should do better. So it’s not the BEST but it’s better than nothing.

    If you purchase alot of electronics, this membership pays for itself. However, I do not like that they change the program frequently. I was a huge fan, now not so much.

    Total tech plan getting more expensive but no more free home visits. Now $100 to walk in door. This is making the membership unaffordable. I have been a member for years but am rethinking whether it is worth it. Also inconvenient you can’t call the store but have to drive to store. Difficult for someone who is handicapped

    This is not the same as total tech, half the benefits have been taken away for a cheaper annual fee. All tv mounting are no longer free thats what annoys me the most.

    This is a great program. I just found out that if you cancel your subscriptions then the previous merchandise purchased is no longer covered. So it really doesn't pay to have it.

    Best Buy's service agreement has gotten more restrictive ands certainly more costly over recent years. Before, they came to the house and installed their products, now they charge you $ 249.99 to come out and it takes a long time. The actual installation was fine. What was $ 199. / year including coming out is now $ 428.99 / year for one service call. I will research local solutions, as this service contract is not worth the money.

    Practically useless to me. I have set up appointments and taken my computers that I buy at BestBuy to the geek squad on several occasions, usually for a simple repair, but they say they are not allowed to work on them and have to send them to Kentucky. Extra lost time, extra expenses. So I have started using a local computer repair service that is much lower priced, and much quicker (same day to next day service).

    I was happy with Best Buy Total prior to the change. I the answer to your question is I would have prob dropped it but my spouse said no...so not yet.
