    Ever since they changed this plan. It no longer covers labor on anything and does not really cover much of anything when purchasing new items. I saved of $600 in labor cost when putting in a stereo system in wife’s car…… now this is not happening anymore. Not even sure it is worth it.

    I didn’t see that the membership no longer included a person coming to my computer and showing me how to work out a problem. When I renewed my membership, no one mentioned it. After a month or so, I asked for help on my at home computer. Then they said : we don’t offer that service anymore. I canceled immediately.

    Worst customer service I have ever seen. I waited 3 weeks for a part I really didn't even need for my dishwasher. Waited twice, all day for a technician to show up - no call/no text/no show. I'm done with Best Buy. If I could give you a negative rating, I would.

    It is ok but not as nice as it was a couple years ago. It used to include free delivery and installation on appliances but does not anymore.

    Terrible Total Protection Product

    Purchased a $2,500 dollar tv and have been paying the protection. Only to find out later that my loss isnt covered under a "Total" protection plan. Very misleading product. In addition I was told that a $150 diagnostic fee will be due to determine cost of repairs, that of which none of those $150 would be applied to repair costs.

    I’ve had this service, multiple appointment cancelled by agent with out giving a reason, until finally after I multiple attempts of calling and asking for answers. Best Buy claimed I never updated my phone number. Which I did indeed do, if I hadn’t then why would I be getting updates through text messages about upcoming appointments. It was back and forth with Best Buy for about a month. So I finally gave up and requested a refund which I only received partially. It’s a joke. Save your money and go elsewhere.

    When total membership can out it was great. Best buy came out and installed all of our TV even tho we only ordered 1 from them. After they changed the program it sucked, everything that i needed it for was no longer available.

    I purchase from Best Buy for the help I could get by having the membership, since there will be extra very high charges for home visits, I think I will cancel my membership and never order from best buy again!

    Now thag installation isn’t included, benefits are far less appealing. Additionally, the warranty coverage only continues as long as you continue total tech membership so its almost not worth it.

    Lousy Tech Support! Phone support is useless because they don't listen and work from a script. I took my PC to the store, and they installed the wrong operating system, and despite my request, didn't evaluate the SSD drive. After two days without my PC, it died when I got it home.

    Do NOT buy a My Best Buy Total membership. Member passed away and Best Buy will only refund to deceased canceled credit card. Tried to solve via email and then on phone for over 30 min. Their solution is for me to contact bank to find out how to get refund money from cancelled credit card. Grrr.

    This all sounded GREAT until I had to use it. A kitchen appliance I bought 2 years ago is no longer covered by the manufacturer's warranty OR Best Buy Total!!! Do NOT fall for Best Buy Total....it covers 20% of labor and that is IT. You can pay the premium but it buys you basically NOTHING.

    We have used the Total Tech multiple times and purchased several items that it saved us delivery, installation and haul away fees. It has saved us on purchased items and provides complete tech support for our computers. Great people.

    Used to be of some value but like everything else best buy its going downhill fast.. When you would get free instalation then it had some value . shame.. looks like its the next circuit city

    A couple years ago my mom called to tell me that a pop up on her computer asked her to call a number. She hung up before anyone could take her cc info. I told her to go into the Geeks quad and have them "check for viruses." They convinced her that they needed completely uninstall her system and reinstall. Charged her over $300 and then signed her up for a membership that has now debited her account three times over the years even though we call every year to have it cancelled.

    I really loved the total tech plan. Not a huge fan of this service but it’s the best coverage being offered now as the total tech plan is no longer being issued. I will probably cancel soon as this is not worth the money you can only get a claim for 2 items per year.
