If you are buying a few appliances, this is a must. Plus they give you back the difference in $$ if your item goes on sale within 60 days of you buying it. I bought an electric stove, it went on sale 4 days later, I called they reimbursed me the difference. Love it

I wondered why or when I would find myself using this enough to justify the cost compared to other yearly memberships like amazon. As it turns out, it was worth it. Simply put, the warranty extensions alone that this instantly gives every item you buy from best buy pays for itself. with my washer and dryer, refrigerator, 49 inch ultrawide OLED screen, along with many other items I have picked up from here, from headphones for various family members, to toys and games for my child. everything instantly gets 24 month extended protection, along with extended return policy, and special membership cost, instantly reducing many items down off the sticker prices by a small amount. Like my frequent use of amazon, this is one I will continue to use and renew.

I had 2 computers to clean and the cost to do both would have been much more than the membership. The computers work much better now - except they are on Windows 10 so becoming obsolete but that is not affected by this membership. The staff was pleasant and the computers were ready in a timely manner. The work seems to have been done well and both are faster now.

If you don’t usually get the “extended warranty” you’ll probably really appreciate this membership. It pays for itself when you use Geek Squad and really is a great price for the benefits!

The Geek Squad membership is outstanding. We purchased a new HP laptop computer and asked for our older laptop and tower PC to be merged onto the new laptop. Tyler Lovegren was our primary consultant who helped us through the process. He was patient, calm and knowledgable on the transfers. He did a great job with us at 65+ wanting this process completed.

Every time I have needed service The Geek Squad was from and Center. The service was quick, thorough effective. An investment well worth the cost.

The membership is great to cover your purchases and saves you money on the warranties as thise add up quickly and all you purchases can be found under your membership with your phone number.

Great service to have, and it’s much needed to maintain the quality of the equipment/devices.

I love the fact that I can get points or get interest free for 12 months

Access to the Geek Squad is worth the cost of the membership alone. They setup my home entertainment system, my new computer system, and my new HP printer system. They are fabulous!

It's insurance but it's really up to personal discretion on whether or not you will use it effectively to be worth the cost. For some I could really see it being worth it but there are some caveats. The member only discounts have been becoming more infrequent to that benefit (while great tbh) is now few and far between. The free shipping is nice but not worth the price. The protection plan is OK. Extended return window is nice. Again up to the person if it's worth it.

I really missed the old total tech.Such amazing thing to offer back in twenty twenty I had no complaints out of it.I don't like the new way on, did it?But I see y'all finally fix some of the loopholes you put in there.Good job on that part wink wink

All of the products are working well. I have been buying products for 5 years or more. The products are high-quality.

I’ve had this membership for 5 months and I must say that the tech support is worth it. Had a few to build a computer for a nephew but was so busy during the holiday season didn’t have enough time to actually build it. So I took it to Best Buy and after 3 days it was put together with minimal issues. So I’m terms of physical support I would definitely recommend. That being said the over the phone support is atrocious. I spoke to over 4 virtual tech support agents who seemed to struggle to speak/understand English which made troubleshooting software issues impossible. The outsourced support agents were not helpful at all with one of them not even understanding that if they minimized an application it goes away. An agent actually yelled at me over the phone for closing out a program for which they didn’t know how to reopen when I had watched them minimize it. Avoid their virtual support at all costs as it is absolutely terrible however I fully support their in store geek squad support as not only did they build an entire computer for me they were able to answer any questions I had as well as give me recommendations on future upgrades. Pros: Geek squad in person support is a 10/10 Best Buy member discounts Membership benefits giving you free trials Cons Virtual tech support In conclusion. I’d say get it if you have a custom built computer as the geek squad support is fantastic. However, if you do not live near a Best Buy do not count on their virtual support.
