    Worth the money for the warranty coverage on items

    If you're making larger purchases, like a fridge or television, then keeping this membership for a couple years gets you, worry-free, warranty coverage from Best Buy. For less than you'd pay for the added coverage on the items normally. If you only buy the random item rarely, then this membership isn't for you.

    A membership that has many perks beyond computers

    If you are not real good with computers, this is a great membership to have. Online chat is available if you need help or you can talk with an agent too. The membership also has many perks like free delivery, free setup and in some cases extended warranty. When you buy large items like a refrigerator, you can get a discount. Buy some items and if they fail, you can get it replaced for free.

    Had purchased a new phone from Best Buy and thought I needed Verizon to transfer, but they couldn't due to my plan, so went back to Best Buy to do it. Purchased the Annual membership as the transfer would have cost almost that much. Was glad I did when I needed to go back with questions. Also applies to my laptop!

    We bought an Alienware laptop in August 2025 from Best Buy with $500 Geek Squad 4 years of service, in late November 2025 it had a critical video card failure. We took it to geek squad desk and they made me buy this so they could reinstall the OS after we told them it was hardware failure. But since it was still under warranty we didn’t want to crack open the laptop and fix it ourselves (well…my husband who’s an IT guru for a large bank and could fix it would have been the one to do it). Of course the OS reinstall didn’t fix it and the guy from Geek Squad called and left a vmail and said they’d reimburse this $194 because it ended up being hardware failure and they had to send it out to be repaired. But we were required to come back to the store prior. When we got there they wouldn’t reimburse it, and they had to send it out and said it’d be two weeks and we’re into week 3 and the laptop is still waiting for parts and our daughter is trying to run heavy duty CAD programs off of a el crappo old laptop from high school while we wait. And once it’s fixed they won’t send it to the Best Buy near her university, but they will send it to our home one…which means one of us will have to drive it out to her hundreds of miles away. Silver lining…get to see our college student. So…was this a good purchase. Not for us.

    You Don’t Need It Until You NEED It

    I’ve had this protection for a couple of years. I was thinking about dropping it until… I had printer and TV go out in short order. Best Buy was fantastic with the returns. And, because of model years, I got an upgrade for $10 price difference!

    Irs worth it especially for the replacements, some products arenr built that well so replacement items are needed, the repairs are good if there is a good geek squad I havent found a good one but the total care is definitely worth every cent

    the people tried very hard to resolve my issue but because my membership lapsed 2 weeks due to credit card change my warranty also lapsed even though it was still under the 2 yrs. I think this is a way to get around the problem so the company doesn't have to spend money

    At first I was hesitant about the annual cost but thought better of it after considering the benefits or repair/ replacement, the embarrassment of purchasing a high tech item then stopping short of complete coverage beyond the manufactures warranty This program automatically insures all your tech purchases are covered Personally I’m a impulse shopper and a soft touch around the holidays So yes I know without any hesitation if the gifts or purchases don’t function properly I can return them or replace them without additional worry

    I like the membership and its benefits, especially working with the staff at the Woodbury, MN, store, but I do not like having to deal with the Best Buy Company. I have had issues in the past, and quite frankly, I think it is a horrible firm with which to do business.

    Purchasing Total Tech was the best and smartest thing I've ever done. With Total Tech. I've had the Geek Squad set up or troubleshoot several of my computers which is included. The service has saved me many headaches as well as dollars. I am constantly amazed by all that is included. I highly recommend this service. It pays for itself over and over again.

    There are some real values with My Best Buy Total membership I have saved quite a lot of money over the life of my membership. As well as extended the warranty on many of my purchases including AppleCare included on all Apple products that were purchased. Which is an awesome feature.

    I worked with Matt To figure out what was happening with my phone and computer. He was respectful and helpful through the process. My phone was done and I took it home that day. My laptop took two days. I really appreciate having the Geek Squad as a part of my team Cynthia

    I’m very happy with my Best Buy Total membership. I use it frequently throughout the year. It more than pays for itself since I’ve had to have two laptops wiped and reloaded. The techs are very knowledgeable and friendly. I also appreciate the two year warranty on my purchases at Best Buy

    This membership truly is real value just the 60 days being returnable is worth it alone. As we all know, technology works so well the first month but sometimes gives up on you the second. This is saved me countless times and you get discounts and you get protection and you get everything such a great value honestly.

    When my over the range microwave appliance broke, I thought I would be in for weeks of phone calls and headaches. Instead, my Best Buy membership made the entire process simple from start to finish. I reached out, and it was easy to get through to support without waiting forever.     The Best Buy Total membership is a great value! The discounts are great, and the free protection plans are an incredible perk! I bought several Apple products as Christmas presents and the free Apple Care paid for the Best Buy Total membership!
