Within a few days of purchase, we had our new dishwasher.

My samsung dishwasher installation did not go very well. After the installer left my home I noticed my dishwasher was not securely installed. I called the installer and he returned and stated that the screws that came with my dishwasher was the incorrect screws and that he had some different screws in his delivery truck. So the installer used the screws that he got from out of his delivery truck. After about 2 weeks of use of my diswasher. when I opened the dishwasher door the dishwasher tilted/leaned forward as if it was going to fall forward onto the floor. I called best buy and explained the situation with my dishwasher and asked if they could send a dishwasher installer to my home to securely install my dishwasher, which they did. The new installer said that my dishwasher was not installed correctly. I have noticed/observed that my dishwasher is now more secure than it was previously.

The first visit the technician told me he needed a longer water intake hose. He didn't have one so I had to purchase and reschedule the appt. Second appt he said he needed a longer drain hose so I had to purchase and reschedule appt. The third appt tech called after 11:30am and said he was 15-20 min away. He arrived around 12:45pm. The appt was between 9am and 1pm. The job was completed around 2pm. While working on the install his companion was lying flat on the kitchen floor resting. His companion was also on his phone watching a video or face timing with a family member. The job was completed satisfied we are happy with the dishwasher, but I was not pleased about scheduling 3 times and waiting on hold for an hour or more each time and the behavior of the technicians.

We purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Best Buy which was to include the cost of the installation. It ended up costing an additional $510 to get the dishwasher installed. As it turned out, part of the problem was due to changes which needed to be made to the electrical hookup due to a city code change which happened after we had the prior dishwasher installed. When the installers from Best Buy arrived with the dishwasher they determined that they could not do the install as some electrical changes needed to be made due to city code which they told us they could not do, so they recommended another firm to make the changes required. We made an appointment with the company recommended and the person came to our home and told us he would charge us $510 to make the changes and do the install. At that point we felt we had no choice but to proceed with this person if we wanted the install to be made as we did not know who else to contact to make the changes. We felt that the amount charged was rather steep for the time the installer ended up spending (He kept telling us that he was a master plumber which I think was his way of justifying his charges). We had no idea when we purchased the dishwasher that we would have to spend as much as we did to complete the installation. The dishwasher works fine and we have no complaints about the dishwasher itself, but the installation seemed like a ripoff to us.
