Q: If our dishwasher is directly hard wired will there be extra charges? If purchased with installation kit, will there be any extra charges for other accessories, hoses, screws ect?

A: We just had a dishwasher delivered from BestBuy. Our delivery crew was very polite and professional but said they were not allowed (per BestBuy) to hardwire the appliance. They said it was possible to do, but BestBuy would not allow them to do it. Instead, they suggested they could install an outlet for an additional $160 and then install the dishwasher. I wasn’t comfortable making that decision on the spot, so I now have a boxed dishwasher sitting in my kitchen and am figuring out a plan B.

Q: My old dishwasher is hardwired. Will new dishwasher installation include a new grounded plug, or should I hire electricians to do it before the new dishwasher arrives?

A: i was charged 160 for this when they came to install mine.

Q: Does the installation include the install kit? I purchased the installation, but will the technician allow me to purchase the install kit if needed at the time of the installation or is it something I need to have before they arrive? Thanks!

A: They probably included the installation kit with the purchase of the dishwasher. They included it with mine anyway, of course you buy it. Warranty with theirs.

Q: Can Best Buy install a dishwasher where there is not a current dishwasher?

A: yes, as long as they have access to electrical (outlet) and plumbing

Q: Are 3rd party dishwasher installers sent by Best Buy licensed plumbers. I had installers mess up my install and when I put in a claim they denied saying that the installers were not plumbers?? In addition they broke my water heater and I had to replace

A: No. They say they are and BB employees say they are. THEY ARE NOT. I had them 3x. Young fellows who say "yes, I am a plumber". When you press them about their education, apprenticeship training and MN PLUMBING LISC. they fess up...... their line is "we are licensed by our company". There is no such thing as being licensed by a company .......UNREAL

Q: I am going to have a dishwasher delivered, and wondered if installation services included new hookup services where there was no previous dishwasher?

A: If there is any need for cutting or renovation of any kind they will not attempt.

Q: I have and existing dishwasher and waste disposal already plumbed in. I notice that the valve for the dishwasher is stuck open. Will the installers be able to switch out the valve in order to allow them to hook up the water supply?

A: Yes. But you have to inform

Q: I can’t see anywhere if mounting is included in the installation, only leveling. We have been told by a previous plumber that we would need to supply a granite bracket. Is mounting included?

A: The dishwasher I purchased (Bosch) came with an installation package that had 2 front mounting plates that tie the front of the dishwasher to the counter top. Your installer may have to drill two small holes in your counter top. They are very small holes. The installation kit including the electrical connection from the dishwasher to the power outlet is not included and will have to be purchased separately. The sales person at Best Buy should have told you this.
