One big problem was the delivery and install takes 2 weeks. Amazon delivers in 2 days only. When it was my day of delivery the assigned driver called in sick. Guesd what i have to wait for 2 weeks again. So i told them that i will cancel and go to Cosco or Amazon. They had my tv delivered in 1 week. Yes right still too long of a wait. It was totally complete craziness but I already paid for total tech and the tv. It was a test of patience. I said the f word many timed that day when I knew that my tv will not arrive.

TOTAL TECH

This is some thing you really need when it comes to MacBooks these computers are very good for school businesses anything like that if you want to make music become a DJ you can literally do anything on these computers however, it is good to have any sort of protection on these computers because it can be very expensive to fix so when I purchase my MacBook, the representative at the register told me about total tech, and from there on out, I had to purchase. I definitely recommend purchasing this when you get your computer because it’s so worth it.

pros and cons, longer warranties are too painful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.not bad, exclusive pricing and a 2 year warranty on almost anything you buy, as long as you renew your membership during that 2 year period. but I was frustrated at how difficult it was to purchase geek squad warranties longer than 2 years, I had to go into the store and find a knowledgeable associate to work their magic in the computer system. if it wasn't for that I would have probably kept the membership. fair warning, it is pretty difficult to cancel your membership, you can't just do it online, it requires a phone call and waiting on hold and they will ask you to explain why you are canceling - the good news is that they will refund you the amount remaining for the time you had left, I had a few weeks and got $4.00 back, for example. it is a bit of a bummer when you cancel and get notifications for all of the geek squad warranties that are going away. last thought it is great to have for TV mounting installations, it is included in the membership, great perk, but I don't need anymore tv's mounted at this time.

Great bang for the buck!

I’ve had my laptop trouble checked annually and had a setup for a desktop as well as full setup for a new treadmill. All of these would have cost over $1,000. They are fast and efficient when doing the services and tolerate my many questions. The service is outstanding value for a modest annual membership.

Great team & service - communication just ok

They are a little hit or miss with communication because they scheduled an appointment with me and the day came and noone showed up. Turns out the part didnt come in and they didnt cancel with me.

I wanted to take the data off and it would've ended up costing me about the same just for that service as getting the totaltech membership, so I opted for this. They took the data off my laptop and covered the cost of the external drive they'd put everything on, which was awesome. I then bought parts and built my own pc, and I bought some from BestBuy because I got the protection plan. I will say getting the free shipping and protection plans on things has made me more likely to shop here over other big online retailers, and I'd say that the membership has paid for itself for me, since I was buying so much tech at the time. The membership even got me a logitech gaming mouse for free (normally $40) because I needed a new one and was browsing here and noticed. If you are in the market for a lot of tech / appliances I do think that this is worth it, but probably only for the duration that you think you'll be buying stuff at high rates.

Horrible Experience - Best Buy Total Tech

The TV malfunctioned within the initial month. I had high hopes for Best Buy's Total Tech service, especially given the substantial amount of money I've spent there over the years. Pros: The technician Best Buy sends is pleasant, technical, and always fixes the problem. Cons: The TV has had repeated issues, from system board malfunctions to intermittent outages. Best Buy Total Tech service, although responsive, has been unable to provide a lasting solution. There's an exasperating policy around returns, where apparently, the product must break a specific number of times before it's considered eligible for a return. Even after meeting this criterion, I faced reluctance and an insinuation that I might be the cause of the issue. Inconsistent information provided by the customer service each time I reached out for support. Conclusion: As a long-time patron of Best Buy who's recently invested over $15,000 in appliances and entertainment gear, the service I've received on this occasion has been deeply disappointing. While I appreciate the efforts of the technician who came out multiple times, the core issue remains unsolved. It feels as though I've been left with a 'lemon' TV and have been ping-ponged around without a concrete solution. I genuinely hope that Best Buy reevaluates its after-sales service and return policies. Loyalty is earned through consistent positive experiences, and this ordeal has surely tainted my view.

Untrustworthy Company. Period!

But when I went shopping for new appliances I figured what’s the difference where I went to buy them. Well there is a difference. I purchased the total care package so that I would have a hassle free 24 months of warranty on my appliances. Turns out that they charge you to come out and diagnose the problem and if it’s fixable they will decide if it’s covered. So in short they had me pay for 2 years of coverage and now when I have 2 months left of coverage my washing machine stops working. I spend 2 hrs in with total care support. Which was outsourced (no surprise) then they told me they had to charge me. They kept giving me reasons which weren’t actually reasons. Tbh Wu would just say “of course, we agree that should be covered” and then when we got to the point of scheduling they said they can’t even see the appointments till after I pay for the service call. So after hours I said fine. Let’s just set this thing up. They did after all promise me that it would be the last charge and the repairs would all be covered. So I paid. Then they said unfortunately they can’t seem to see any dates on the schedule and that I should wait 48 hrs for them to escalate it to someone who can figure out a way to see if they could get me an appointment. So long story short. The chat and phone number that you will have access to will be incredibly polite and have absolutely zero function or purpose other than to get you to pay for that initial call. And then maybe if you’re lucky someone will reach out within 48 hrs and see if the can get you scheduled. Maybe. Even tho you paid for warranty. And you now paid for a service call I top of your warranty. They lie in the store about what you are getting. And it sounds good. That should have been my first clue. Please don’t give these guys your money. Let Amazon finally put them out of business. It will eventually happen if we just stop Please just stop.

If anything gets broken, I have a toddler, so that’s a really big possibility!

Amazing but affordable program

I was planning to buy kitchen appliance package however I was nervous about installation costs and haul away charges for the old appliances. TotalTech made it easy and free of cost, plus I will receive priority in servicing, best buy warranty, additional discounts, there is so much to list out !! I made all calculations, it came out cheaper than Samsung student discounts (including haul away + installation) I am very happy about this program. Go BestBuy Go !

We love our membership and appliances

I called our membership tech for assistance and they got there on time as scheduled. Technician was kind and respectful and gave us tips as to how to trouble shoot it. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the service. I purchased 4 appliances. A Samsung Bespoke refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and microwave and recently purchased a Samsung washer and dryer! I feel like I’m in good hands with Best Buy and their services!

I shouldn't be made to feel that I the customer can't ask questions. Everyone else was great.

I been sending customers your way for 6 months now. I plan on getting back on the Totaltech membership after receiving the ROG Ally I preordered. Best Buy is the best every time when I research deals and availability with electronics. I got the Best Buy credit card because of my experiences.

Totaltech is worth the money if you can afford it

I enjoyed all the benefits and most definitely utilized the availability of having someone come and install al the products I purchased through Best-buy. That said, I did not continue a second year. Memberships are great and this would be one I would keep if it were a bit less in cost. I am a long time customer of Best Buy, probably since they opened their doors and will continue to shop there for many reasons. My first and foremost reason is the customer service. Thanks again

The technician who visited my home to check on the double oven gave me the wrong information. I purchased the wrong oven, and installed the wrong oven. then I had to pay $350 to uninstall the oven. After that visit, I was very careful to make sure the appliances I buy fit the existing space. I used this membership to install a double oven, and an electric cooktop. Overall I think the membership is worth it if u will buy more than one appliance in a year because delivery, installation, and haul away is included.

Part of Membership is enjoying speedy delivery and installation. I had to call to check up on a microwave oven that was in back order for 3 months! I’d like to see a complimentary membership for 1 year or at least a 6 month extension to compensate.
