    This is a true value. We have rentals, and the savings are substantial no to mention extending the warranty. If you purchase 1 major appliance a year it is so worth it.

    I work at another electronics store and we offer protection plans but after my experience with totaltech for a year I recommend it to most of my customers that need assistance with diagnostics or repairs for products they don’t have protection on. I been sending customers your way for 6 months now. I plan on getting back on the Totaltech membership after receiving the ROG Ally I preordered. Best Buy is the best every time when I research deals and availability with electronics. I got the Best Buy credit card because of my experiences.

    Got this membership when i first got my pc and it rlly comes in handy if you need to upgrade or your pc keeps crashing like mine did it comes in handy and i see it's a lot of money up front but it helps you save money in the long run especially if you're a gamer!!!!

    Removed Ransomware & Unlocked Computer

    Had a scammer get access to my computer & bank accounts. Put ransomeware on my computer & locked my computer so it could not be used. The Geek Squad did a great job removing the ramnsomware & unlocking my computer. Brought the computer in on Dec 1st & it was picked it up on Dec 3rd. They also identified one ram storage failuring their test. Very pleased with the service provided along with their advice for preventing future scamming & ransomeware. Great job!!!

    Totaltech is worth the money if you can afford it

    I had purchased the Totaltech for one year. I enjoyed all the benefits and most definitely utilized the availability of having someone come and install al the products I purchased through Best-buy. That said, I did not continue a second year. Memberships are great and this would be one I would keep if it were a bit less in cost. I am a long time customer of Best Buy, probably since they opened their doors and will continue to shop there for many reasons. My first and foremost reason is the customer service. Thanks again

    Pretty hard to recommend purchasing this membership. The two day shipping is nice, but I only get my items in the two days 50% of the time. If you are making some large appliance purchases the extended warranty would be nice BUT keep in mind, I’m order to KEEP arhat extended warranty you have to pay to keep the membership active every year. Chances are for most people you would be better off and save money buying the extended warranty separately. The Totaltech member sales are laughable…I have yet to purchase even one of those “sales” because every. single. time, It is cheaper elsewhere NOT on sale. Sometimes by a few dollars and others by 25%. So make sure you actually ship around. The “dedicated Totaltech chat line” is an absolute joke. You will sit in a que for 15 min only to be kicked off saying all agents are busy OR you won’t even get a chance and will be met immediately with the “all agents are busy”. I used to spend thousands and thousands of dollars with Best Buy a year and have (had) been an elite member since they started the program. All the changes they have done and changing how they reward and treat their high spending customers I spend on the hundreds now. Totaltech looks good on paper and sounds good when you read it, but it’s not a good deal. To most it’s throwing money away and you will regret in a few months after purchasing it. All in all I can not recommend this membership. Wish I could but seriously trust me when I say save the expensive membership fee.

    My desktop was dying. Griding sound. I knew I was long overdue for a new computer so I got a HP 2 in 1. Totaltech set it up. Got my files from my old computer onto it. Installed Chrome that had all my program saves. Happy I didn't lose anything there. I am disappointed that they couldn't transfer some programs. They didn't tell me if there was any way to get that done.

    We have enjoyed our membership, but 2 day or eve a week installation has not happened once! Part of Membership is enjoying speedy delivery and installation. I had to call to check up on a microwave oven that was in back order for 3 months! I’d like to see a complimentary membership for 1 year or at least a 6 month extension to compensate.

    I had some bad luck with a Cyber Power PC gaming computer. Cyber Power did not help as much. I signed up for total tech when I bought an iMac. I took my PC to Best Buy Pasadena to get an answer. They did give me the answer. I really encourage people to get this. Even though you might not need it. The geek squad is my knight in shining armor. I totally recommend people getting Total Tech Membership. You will never know when an electronic will go south.

    When you look at the benefits of this program, and you realize that your phones, TV's, laptops, and printer were purchased at Best Buy, the decision to purchase the Totaltech package was simple. Fortunately, we have not needed the service/repair/replacement coverage yet, we have used the free installation option, and could not be more pleased. When you add the comfort of knowing this package stands behind all Best Buy purchases, even those made prior to joining Totalteck, I feel good about recommending it to my friends.

    Highly disappointed in appliance repair

    I had a relatively decent experience with Geek Squad until recently when my Samsung Dryer I purchased from Best Buy 5 years ago stopped spinning. I called Best Buy for Geek Squad to set up appointment 15-Mar-2023, request was acknowledged and was told that an appointment would be set up so they’ll call back tomorrow. No one called to set up an appointment. I called back on 22-Mar-23 to see when someone could come out and was told that my initial request was delayed and they would again reach out to get it scheduled by tomorrow, 23-Mar-23. No one called the next day so I waited until 24-Mar-23 and explained we’ve been waiting for someone to schedule a visit but no one has called to do so. He elevated the request again and told me someone would call on 25-Mar-23. I got a call back and confirmation of appointment 26-Mar-23. The appointment was scheduled for 29-Mar-23 with a time frame between 7 am and 7 pm Barry showed up around 1:45 on 29-Mar-23 and took the dryer apart and was here for 1 ½ hours. He told me he believed it was the main mother board and put in a request to order the part and that he would be back next week to install the part when it arrives. He scheduled a follow up with the part to repair the dryer 6-Apr-23. 6-Apr-23 Tristan arrived, a different repair person that did not have the part and did not seem knowledgeable of what was already done by Barry. I informed him that someone already came out and diagnosed the problem and it was the main control board and Barry should have ordered the part and should be doing the repair. He was only at my house for 15 minutes or so before he left and said he would order the part and be back next week on Friday the 14th of April. I did not hear back from Tristan or Best Buy on scheduling of the service or get a confirmation of the appointment. I called Best Buy the 13th asking the status of the repair since I was told Tristan would be back on Friday. The Geek Squad phone person informed me that there was no service scheduled and that Tristan would contact me first thing on Friday with an update. I waited until 930 and called Tristan back and asked him when he would be coming. He informed me that he did not have the part and would need to reschedule. He rescheduled for 20-Apr-23. 20-Apr-23 arrived, and he again told me he did not have the part and that he would need to reschedule for another week with new ETA of 27-Apr-23. This has been very frustrating with the lack of communication, lack of prioritization and seeming to not care about the customer. I told the service tech twice that he could have communicated better if he wasn’t going to show up as planned as he’s now rescheduled twice the day of the appointment. I cannot believe that a $1,000 dryer would only last 5 years and when you try to get it fixed it is this much hassel. I'm beyond upset with this experience. I generally have nothing but nice things to say about Best Buy but this was a huge let down and disappointment. I have piles of unwashed clothes due to this lack of prioritization and communication. I may have to consider going to a competitor for future large purchases & coverage.

    I really only have used this when buying an open box item from Best Buy. The extra return day window is useful to ensure your items work as you expect especially with them being open box. I dont have a need for much tech otherwise. I assume it would work better for someone that does!

    Untrustworthy Company. Period!

    Do not waste your money. I should have known better. But when I went shopping for new appliances I figured what’s the difference where I went to buy them. Well there is a difference. I purchased the total care package so that I would have a hassle free 24 months of warranty on my appliances. Turns out that they charge you to come out and diagnose the problem and if it’s fixable they will decide if it’s covered. So in short they had me pay for 2 years of coverage and now when I have 2 months left of coverage my washing machine stops working. I spend 2 hrs in with total care support. Which was outsourced (no surprise) then they told me they had to charge me. They kept giving me reasons which weren’t actually reasons. Tbh Wu would just say “of course, we agree that should be covered” and then when we got to the point of scheduling they said they can’t even see the appointments till after I pay for the service call. So after hours I said fine. Let’s just set this thing up. They did after all promise me that it would be the last charge and the repairs would all be covered. So I paid. Then they said unfortunately they can’t seem to see any dates on the schedule and that I should wait 48 hrs for them to escalate it to someone who can figure out a way to see if they could get me an appointment. So long story short. The chat and phone number that you will have access to will be incredibly polite and have absolutely zero function or purpose other than to get you to pay for that initial call. And then maybe if you’re lucky someone will reach out within 48 hrs and see if the can get you scheduled. Maybe. Even tho you paid for warranty. And you now paid for a service call I top of your warranty. They lie in the store about what you are getting. And it sounds good. That should have been my first clue. Please don’t give these guys your money. Let Amazon finally put them out of business. It will eventually happen if we just stop Please just stop.

    I dealt with the best people in the world! I was ready to return my sound bar/Roku. I’m not sightless; however, I struggle reading small font and focusing. That said, I tried several times to follow the instructions. No Go! So I call Best Buy. I’m told that I qualify for free installation. The most angelic CSR in the world arranges for a Geek Squad member to come the next day at a convenient time. Then the best Geek Squad tech in the world shows up!! I’m so very grateful! Poor Best Buy. They’re stuck with me. ❤️

    Disappointing

    First experience is disappointing, to say the least. I ordered a fridge and washer/dryer combo 6 weeks in advance and scheduled delivery the day after closing on a new build. A few days before, I get notification that delivery window is 7a-7p. Great. The day before I get an update to deliver between 10a-2p. Even better. Those 4 hours go by and I’ve heard nothing. We call and they say 3-3:15p. Finally show up at 4p. As they’re unloading, they realize they have the wrong fridge. They install the washer/dryer and tell me there was a mix-up on the fridge. They say they can deliver it tomorrow and ask what time. I say first thing in the morning so they say around 9a since they start at 8a. Okay fine. I get a text at 8:45a saying they’ll be delayed and won’t arrive until 10a. At 10a, I get a phone call saying that my fridge was installed in someone else’s house so they had to uninstall it there. In addition to that, it has a dent in it. So because it’s damaged, they can either bring me the damaged fridge, order me another, then come back and swap, or I can wait on the other. Well since I have a wife, a toddler, and a baby in a brand new home, I need a fridge so they finally show up around 11a with my damaged fridge. May have my new undamaged fridge in 2 weeks, but I’m not holding my breath. Really unimpressed. Wondering if I wasted $200. The guys delivering and installing were nice and professional. Otherwise I don’t have much else positive to review. A pretty poor result for something planned 6 weeks ahead of time.

    If you plan to get a lot of appliances or devices in the next year, this is a no-brainer. Not only did it take care of the installation of our stove, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher, but it also covered the replacement of an e-reader after the screen cracked (every device you get while subscribed will be covered with a protection plan). With that said, though, we only kept the subscription for the year and likely won't get another one 'till we've saved up enough to have another year of major upgrades.

    this service entails a home survey visit prior to purchasing an appliance where the technician measures the opening to make sure the new appliance fits. The technician who visited my home to check on the double oven gave me the wrong information. I purchased the wrong oven, and installed the wrong oven. then I had to pay $350 to uninstall the oven. After that visit, I was very careful to make sure the appliances I buy fit the existing space. I used this membership to install a double oven, and an electric cooktop. Overall I think the membership is worth it if u will buy more than one appliance in a year because delivery, installation, and haul away is included.
