I was skeptical about buying in to totaltech, but i can absolutely recommend it. The savings you get outweigh the costs for sure.

This is an excellent option for customer support, I being able to get good discounts and better customer service.

This plan was offered to us by our sales associate at Best Buy. He explained all the options and warranties for all electronic not just the laptop

I recently moved and purchased several appliances from Best Buy including refrigerator and 3 Ecobee thermostats. The sales rep that assisted me recommended Total Tech saying it would cover the Ecobee installs. Great in theory but there has been nothing but frustration since. First, they delivered the refridgerator but the contractor said they didn't have room on the truck to haul away my old one, despite having removed a larger refridgerator for delivery. They rescheduled for Wednesday (days later) but never showed up. Calling Best Buy they scheduled the next available which wasn't until Saturday. The truck showed at 9a, but then informed me they didn't have room on the truck to take my fridge! Why even show up? They promised to call me by 10a (didn't) and to come back that day (didn't do that either). I had to call Best Buy again, who claimed to escalate and put an appointment for 4:30p. They didn't show and I received a cancellation notice 3 days later. Now, the Ecobee install. The tech came out, ripped and replaced my old thermostats, then told my wife they were not compatible with my HVAC system because they only had 4 wires and recommend we purchase Google thermostats instead. 1.) Ecobee's ARE compatible with a 4 wire install (its page 1 of the manual) but worse, 2.) every thermostat had at least 5 wires! I paid an HVAC company $450+ tax to complete the install and they had no problems. All 3 Ecobees are compatible. After several calls and hours of my life later, a customer service rep cancelled my TotalTech and refunded me only $47, saying they "prorated" the service. Still working to get a full refund for a service that so far accomplished nothing but cost me money.

The appliance installation was a complete nightmare. Best buy contracts out installation of all but the fridge. Dishwasher and range/oven were damaged by installer rolling them up the stairs. Best buy had them replaced and the installer again messed up the range/oven and dishwasher. He failed to install the gasket around outside and in both appliances didn't wire correctly. It was a complete mess and Best Buy kept putting burden back in us to deal with it. The membership has been used already on a 6 month old fridge, however best buy agent couldnt work on compressor so another contractor had to come out and its still not fixed.

I feel total tech is the best peace of mind item when spending on high tech high dollar items

this has a value that comes with a warranty for the tv and a discount on prices when installing other services and buying.

If you have several devices, there's a good chance you will need a repair in a years time and that could cost the amt of the yearly support package
