The membership is a great value. I have been a member for six years and Geek Squad has always been able to resolve all my many technical problems

While some staff want to be helpful, I have found that this is not as helpful as one would hope. Reason one: I used this on a Dyson humidifier I purchased in store because when I got the item home it was clear this was an opened item that had been returned (water spots every where, packaging not clean or put together properly, etc.) and found that out that it made a squealing noise when I turned it on the first time. IMO any upstanding company would not require a membership to switch out a product in this case. The next time I attempted to use it, I had owned a vacuum for just under two years when the brush stopped rotating. I loved the vacuum and just wanted to fix the head attachment. Best buy no longer carried that model and would only give me a store credit for the replacement offer. The kicker is if they would never just helped me replace the head attachment to the vacuum it would have only cost $140. Instead, I had hauled a vacuum, the tower, and all of the accessories into the store as I was told only to be told my only option was to replace the vacuum with one in store that was comparable (not possible- nothing they had remotely resembled the unit I was bringing in) or receive a store credit and leave without the vacuum I was trying to fix. To me, this seems like a poor financial choice and left me feeling taken advantage of and immensely disappointed.

Good deal if you end up having to get stuff looked at multiple times a year.

This membership has paid for itself by the various uses I have made of it. Good Buy!!!!

Love the early access to deals and the member only pricing. Worth the money if you are going to make large purchases.

Being a total tech member is totally worth it. Purchasing any electronic items with the extended warranty/labor/parts replacement is a must have.

Great to have if you’re a frequent buyer of electronics. I can now buy with the ease of not having to buy warranties because, I’m already covered

This membership is the Best. Have been a member of Total Tech for a number of years. You want go wrong by becoming a member. Great Values and always available tech to answer your questions, the Best.

This program has changed immensely. All the long term Geek Squad employees are no longer with this program. And you have to pay for the visits to your home on top of the annual fee. And the tech support is so-so now. Information and resolutions provided aren't always accurate. AI actually does a better job. We canceled our membership recently after being My Best Buy Total members for a very long time. Too back to see the program decline.

It comes handy when something stops working. You just go and exchange. It’s simple.
