I bought a MacBook Pro last year along with TotalTech Membership to get "free" Apple Care. I was told I could cancel anytime and still keep my coverage for any purchased products. NOT TRUE. BustBuy will remove coverage as soon you cancel your membership. So when they tell you that "it pays for itself", it's a lie. I would have had to spend $400 on this membership to keep Apple Care for 2 years when Apple care itself from Apple is only $200 and cover you for 3 years.

Posted .Total Tech membership provides free protection with deductibles that may be assessed as needed for purchase products while the membership is program and the item purchased. This protection does deactivate when the program is cancelled or not renewed, although you can choose to purchase a discounted protection plan instead of the free plan that comes with Total Tech that would cover AppleCare+ for the time it is purchased for. That is lacking and they don't have a clue what they are doing. I took a hard drive to them that they told me was dead and it wasnt.
