Purchased this so they would fix my laptop or download the files on the hard drive, they did neither. They told me that my computer power connections were the issue and that would require another motherboard, then they said I had a 45 digit encryption and need a the code to download the information. And while I was standing there they told the person next to me the same exact thing. I immediately cancelled my subscription.

the service I received was superb by the tech and the membership is good for a year and also covers any new purchases besides regular warranty

I had to get this to fix my broken laptop, I do enjoy that products come with free insurance and sometimes there a special deals, but it is pretty expensive.

It works great. It protects all my electronics. I have no fears that my electronics will be repaired properly in the event of damage.

I enjoyed having My Best Buy Total membership. What I did not understand is that if I cancelled the membership would make my printer quit working. I still don't get it but I've been told that I can't reinstate my membership. I cancelled because of the expense for the membership.

I am really glad that I have been keeping up with this membership. The value is amazing, especially since I'm using geeksquad multiple times each year. Even if I were to only use them once, I'd still be saving about $50.

I left my ibuypower computer for repair in 12/2025. They initially told me that it was hard drive problem and could be fixed with a new one in couple days. They also said data could be saved from "corrupted hard drive". I did not hear anything from them afterwards. I called Iowa city best buy number but phone call always gets directed to a some call center in philippines I guess and distant customer agent told me technician would call me once the repairs were completed despite I told them website was showing order "completed". 2 weeks later I got connected to call center in Phillipines but I insisted on speaking to local geek squad member. They said it was ready to pick up. I went to pick up and tech said he installed new hard drive and could not save data from previous hard drive (which was ok because I was not expecting them to salvage the previous data). Nothing was informed me about if new windows was installed or not. Took computer to home and noticed no windows software was installed. I took computer to local computer tech and guy told me old hard drive was working well except an SSD card problem. They also said new hard drive was not installed correctly since screws were not placed well it was dangling. Finally this misinformation and redundant hard drive from best buy geek squad cost me 180 dollars plus tax and 2 separate trips to Iowa city.

I have had my Best Buy total membership for several years. I really appreciate the way that the geek squad is able to take care of me when I have to take one of my computers in. It is totally worth it.

It's worth it, Best Buy fixed my laptop fast for a low cost.
