A year of payments later for this service, I find myself needing a repair on a gaming piece that was a little over a year old and hardly used, and nope.. “can’t help you sir”. I called BestBuy to inquire about possible repair and they promptly said that there was no longer warranty on the item, but because of the plan I purchased, I could save 20% on the repair. So, upon their request, I scheduled a Geek Squad appointment. I get there and a gentleman immediately said they tried calling me to let me know they don’t repair those items there and don’t send them out. I had zero record of a call and even received a text later stating I had missed my appointment. Apparently, the item I purchased, the Oculus Metaquest 2, is disposable after a year of sparse use and Service plans useless and a waste of money.
