The free/discounted installs are worth the price of admission. But, dealing with call centers, lack of communication from installers, and some other complaints closely override the savings. I'd say a good 3/5 of my last installs have been a complete cluster. One in particular was a massive inconvenience. I can't in good faith recommend the service if you already have a good/cheap installer.

For context, Best Buy has delayed my microwave delivery a half dozen times (i.e. months). In one sense, that's not "TotalTech's" fault. However, every time Best Buy calls to let me know that they are again delaying my order they just do a robocall. It's not even clear what the robocall is for. It's deeply impersonal and requires me to take the time to go reschedule. I've chatted online with a customer service person, hoping they would do something to remedy their bad service. They inform me that I need to call in because they can't do anything on chat. Overall, Total Tech is impersonal and inefficient. Poor customer service.
