I was convinced to buy the memebrsip on purchasing 2 high end appliancesc with lot of promises on service and installation benefits. Could not use any benefit for 5-6 months as the delivery of the appliances were delayed and no service was provided. Bestbuy Totaltech does not have technicians to perform the install of high end Downdraft vent and they didn't tell me at the time of purchase or on scheduling the service as a result my appliance was not installed. So I decided to cancel the membership and asked for full refund, as I will have to hire other installer, and I am reimbursed prorated just $15 out of $200. BestBuy is getting lot of free money as customer is not using any benefit until the product is delivered. This memebrship should be activated once the product is delivered or service is scheduled.

Dont bother since you can't count on Best Buy installations. I had an absolutely terrible experience with a dishwasher earlier in the year. It resulted in a flooded kitchen and tons of visits from the team. (Including the no shows) I decided to try again with a TV just recently and Best Buy can't get their own scheduling figured out. My text message said they were coming, the app said the appointment needed to be scheduled, and the website said it was cancelled. When I called, they said it was on the schedule, but they didn't understand why they didn't show up. So basically I waited a week and a half for an install, it was a no show, and the earliest they could reschedule me was two weeks out. Yeah... No thanks.

Best Buy online told me it would be cheaper to sign up for Totaltech , which was the same price that I was going to pay for deliver and installation. The perks of Totattech over the next year sounded like something I wouldn't use. I'm very upset because I waited for 5 days for my dishwasher and then the installers wouldn't install it because the old dishwasher was hard wired. I told them they installed the one that was being removed, 6 years ago and there was no problem. My husband rushed home to put an electric outlet in but the guys left. My husband had to end up taking off work to install the dishwasher himself. I want to be refunded the $223.97 because they didn't do what they were supposed to do.

Membership is proving to be pretty great if you’re making frequent purchases and big purchases from Best Buy. I have yet to actually need the membership support for anything so I can’t comment on that but the random member savings from this membership makes it worth it. Paid for itself and then some since I bought my new kitchen appliances from here. Also great if you’re buying an iPhone or Apple product cause you get Apple care included. Overall not bad if you’re making purchases from Best Buy.

LOVE TOTALTECH!!! You seriously shouldn't pass up totaltech membership. Consider this, if you buy a laptop without the membership you can expect a protection plan to be somewhere between $35 to %130+ depending on the product, to get one. Then a month later you buy a TV another protection plan added to your cost. you go home 5 months later it stops working, you get it taken care of no biggy. No protection plan your doomed, Whereas with totaltech, you pay a yearly membership, you go buy your laptop and TV and boom automatic protection plan free already covered by being a member for up to 24 months so long as you remain a member.. Thats a huge savings in itself, then add in the 24/7 support team, and free installations and etc included, you can't go wrong. I highly recommend.

I was a total tech member: bought a kitchen vent which had free install with the purchase. Vent was dropped off at home, the team did not install it, but labeled it on their end as completed project. Had to get a 3rd party to do it. Then recently I purchased Total membership. Month later bought MacBook Air. Got AppleCare certificate. Screen malfunction 3 months later, so went to geek squad - I don’t have AppleCare!!! How come? I have an active membership, guaranteed AppleCare but they canceled it on the “back end” they said!! So beware of this scam. They sell monthly AppleCare apparently so if system glitches all care are cancelled and it’s just impossible to reinstate by any of the customer service guys. Geek squad recommended to yell at Total service team, why should I ! It’s not their fault, the system is flawed
