Worst customer service experience ever!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased Totaltech membership with a new dishwasher. 3rd party installer would not attempt to perform the service on the 1st appointment. No-call, no-show for 2nd and 3rd appointments. I attempted to escalate with Best Buy management, but couldn’t get anyone to respond. Local Best Buy had no authority to resolve the issue so an investigation with Best Buy national office was started. Promises of resolution and returned calls were broken at each step. Finally canceled Totaltech for a prorated refund and a bad taste in my mouth. Best Buy has lost a 30 year customer.

Totally worth it if you're Elite/ElitePlus Member!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We just upgraded our phones at BB today, and the AppleCare+ was AUTOMATICALLY added to both phones, thanks to TotalTech! That's over $200 value in just 12 months!! More than pays for the yearly TotalTech membership! It's worth the $200 (and probably more) if you're an Elite/ElitePlus member with a fam-fam (+pet)! Just like any other membership (Costco) or subscription (Netflix), the more you use it, the more you get out of it. Lol. That's all, folks! No need to read further! :) Are you still reading? Fine :P Here's the real reason why I purchased the TotalTech membership: I had to buy TT to buy a rare Founders Edition NVIDIA RTX 3080 GPU during the TT member-exclusive sales event a couple of days ago! And I was able to buy one after a year-long hunt!!! Now I just gotta find someone who would buy my 3070 Vision Rev1 :) :D

When I first heard of this I wasn't sure... when some tt members were able to buy GTX cards and I couldn't as an Elite Rewards member I wasn't happy. But then I decided to jot down my purchases, the amount I spent yearly on Geek Squad and financially it's a steal... THEN I found it out included AppleCare! If you normally buy the GS protection and you buy phones, TVs, graphic cards, computers etc... it's more than worth it financially. For our household it's going to save a significant amount. I'm quite sure BB hopes we will spend much of that there because now we get the warranty free and they are correct. Whoever at corporate came up with this idea needs a raise, it's a win for the customers and is highly likely to drive additional revenue as well.

Not happy at all

However, It’s a nightmare to deal with Bestbuy installation team. To be honestly, Their customer service is responsive. Different crews of Best Buy service partner from XPO came two time. But neither of them can do the job. They said they cannot install the range hood on my new kitchen glass tile. I need to remove the glass tile first. It’s ridiculous!!!!! They just took some pictures of my glass tiles and leave in 5 minutes. After the first time service without installation, I contacted Bestbuy they sent another crews but it’s the same. I’m so disappointed. It’s totally doable to install on glass tile. They just need the correct bits for glass tile and be more skilled. But the service partner just want to do easy jobs. Eventually, my husband installed the range hood by himself and nothing broke. I was not happy with Bestbuy installation service.

Install from HELL
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a Swann - 8 Channel 2TB NVR, 4 x 4K PoE Cameras, w/Dual LED Spotlights, Color Night Vision & Free Face Detection on Feb 14th and was Delivered on the 16th. was to be installed on the Fed 18th. No one showed up, no call. Appointment time was 1-6. At about 6:15 I called Totaltech, told them what happened, well after 15 mins, I was told that they were on the way. At 10pm I called back and was told to call back Sat at 7am, I did and explained what was going on. I was told that they would check into it and would get a call back 9am. No call back. Called again at 10am was told still working on it. Sunday I called back again and got hold of someone that knew what was going on after I explained it again. She gave me the phone number of the company. I finally got hold of them on Monday the 21st and was told that they would be here between 7 and 1 on march 18th, once again no one show up after 1 pm. I called the company and asked what's up, I was told that someone would be there, Finally at 3:30 someone showed up looked at were the cameras were located,he said it was a 2 man job made a phone call and told me that someone would be here on on Monday the 21. After about 10 mins he went up into the attic, he put his foot thru the celling, he made a call and someone else came to help. After all was said and done, they took down the old cameras installed the new ones, and wouldn't you know it they couldn't get it work after several hours and told me that the NVR was bad. So here we are again, no surveillance, best buy told me that I would have the NVR in May, wow that was crazy. In the mean while the supervise came out on the 25th put a piece of plaster board were the hole was and checked out the cameras, he got the system woking on my phone but couldn't get it connected to the computers or the I pads that I had. But I do have this to say, He tried to get it up and running. He told me that he was going to get someone out here to fix the ceiling. On April 1st a guy came out and did a great job on fixing the ceiling, that's the only thing that's gone right sofar. Now I still have to wait till April 9th for a different company to hook up my cameras, I whish I could do this myself, but I'm a disabled Vet and have a hard time with my hands and fingers to work. i just hope everything goes right on the 9th. That's my Horror story. LOL

No resolution and unable to receive refund

I purchased the membership a year ago and had them diagnose a computer problem (random locking up of entire system - no blue screen etc). To resolve, they re-installed windows 11 and ran a stress test. They could not reproduce the issue. Brought the computer home and was able to reproduce after about 2 hours of use. That was the last time I used the service. A year later (after cancelling) I received a renewal charge for the membership. I have been trying for the last weeks to get a refund on the charge to no avail. DO NOT use chat. Calling has a better response and knowledge but still no resolution. $200 gone! We will see what happens in the short future. I do not recommend this service to anyone. And, if you purchase it - good luck cancelling.
