Mixed feelings.....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have mixed feelings on this (especially because it is $200 per year). I bought this add on as i was talked into it when i purchased a new MB pro for my daughter over black friday for a christmas gift. It got my price a little more down off of things (like made O365 a little cheaper), and additional coverage protection. I probably wouldn't have gotten it, except that i had plans to buy a new dishwasher (and eventually did too), and that would help cover that too, in addition to free delivery, installation, and removal of the old one, which after adding everything up in the cart without this, its almost a wash. But i feel like i have a little bit more VIP accesses and treatments (access to earlier sales or new releases), and if i buy a new tv or another appliance this year, it will just be icing on the cake at that point too. But i feel like you should just get that treatment and all that anyways as a customer, especially when you spent all that money in the first place. I guess that's just me. I know times have changed!

Worth it for tech lovers or Best Buy lovers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got talked in to this membership because it was the same price as the geek squad price to work on my laptop (which they ended up doing absolutely nothing to actually fix it and I still had to pay them for looking at it, as well as pay for a device to put a bandaid on the real problem). It’s actually worth it though if you plan on buying more products through best buy. The coverage it offers comes in handy and at the time I only bought it because it was the same price as a “repair” but I may end up keeping this membership for the additional perks.

Hard Pass
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ended up canceling because they couldn't fix the washing machine I purchased with it. To top it off, they sent a really creepy technician the last time who made himself at home in my house, then kept asking me out even after I told him no thank you I had a boyfriend. Was trying to be kind about it but apparently you have to be an a-hole to get some people to leave you alone. I wasn't even in his service area, but one of the other techs told him "you won't be disappointed". When I made a report about it, they called and took my statement, but I highly doubt anything was done because I never got a follow up and last I checked he was still working there. That's the last thing that women who live alone need is someone like that who now knows their address, the layout of their house, their phone number, and their likely work schedule. Very unprofessional and incredibly uncomfortable.

Once purchased, I logged in the app and set up my delivery for Tuesday between 7 AM and 1 PM on Monday. I received an automated call and voicemail saying that my TV would be there between 7 AM and 1 PM on Tuesday so I took off work woke up early and waited around 4 PM. I decided to call Best Buy and check the status of my technician since it’s three hours past my estimated window and I was informed that the TV was not in stock and no TV was being delivered at this point I got frustrated not that the TV was gonna be delayed but that if Best Buy knew the TV was out of stock, why was I told the TV was being delivered? Why did the app say the TV was on its way and why did I get a phone call saying the TV was coming at this point, I asked to speak to a supervisor and I’m told there is no supervisor after insisting on speaking to the supervisor more and more I was told that the supervisor would be calling me back in 20 to 30 minutes after waiting an hour I proceeded to call Best Buy yet again at this point, I spoke to a gentleman named Eddie. He insisted he was a supervisor or has supervisor experience and would take care of all of my problems for me. He insisted there was nothing he could do till tomorrow and begged me to give him a chance to make this right he told me he would be calling me at 8 AM to set up the delivery even though I wanted to cancel at this point I decided to give him a chance. I set my alarm woke up early all to receive no call around 8:30 I just had to check my email and see that he emailed me at 12:30 at night the night before begging me not to fill out a customer service survey or he would lose his job That is completely unprofessional. At this point it’s now 9 AM an hour after he said he would call me so I called Best Buy yet again and insist on only speaking with the supervisor. The lady they put me in touch with was very kind and very apologetic and said she was going to make this right she told me she was going to credit my account $50 Once the work is complete for my trouble and that she would have the delivery set up for tomorrow even though I was still upset I said OK thank you and we hung up five minutes later I received another phone call from Best Buy. It’s the supervisor again she proceeds to tell me I’m sorry, but we cannot do the installation and delivery tomorrow. It will now be two weeks, at this point, I told her to cancel the order and installation immediately I am no longer interested in doing business with Best Buy. The lack of responsibility taken by your employees, the unprofessionalism by your employees and the lack of communication between your employees and your customer is out of control.

Good decision to get membership
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The geek squad manager explained all the ways a membership would save me money so I realized it would quickly pay for itself. I’m going to use it for the 20% off data recovery services and have already saved the $50 diagnosis fee for checking the damaged hard drive. I will also probably be using it for the special pricing on at least one product.

Total Tech Waste of Time and Money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When Total Tech offer was explained to me in March of 2023. It offered an array of benefits. Unfortunately when it was being used connect my home theater system. They couldn't get it working properly. Several weeks later a different crew tried, they made it worse. A couple months later I asked for an expert in home theater setup and after spending a couple with trying to connect the sound he suggested that I take my TV and my Xbox X into Best Buy to have them take a look at it. Taking a 77 in OLED TV into Best Buy to have them take a look at it because their techs cannot connect the sound to a new Yamaha amplifier and video to a high end TV is insane. In March of 2024 attempting to use the services in Total Tech provided me hours of frustration and zero results. This total Tech was the biggest scam I've ever experienced from a large company. I will no longer buy any products from Best Buy.

Geek Squad

Only half of what I asked for was done!!! Than they asked me to leave my charger and mouse of my old laptop, which I did. Upon getting home realized I did not have these. 3 phone calls and 3 visits back to store I finally got them back! The first 2 trips back and phone calls got me nowhere, The 3rd phone call and trip back and dealing with Ben got me back My charger and he called me the following day when he located y mouse which was buried under some paperwork!!!! Ok, make that 4 phone calls and 4 trips back to store!!! Unacceptable!!!

Will continue into the future.

Best Buy/Total Tech/Geek squad people fixed my HP computer tower in 3 days. It's performance was totally noticeable as soon as I booted it up. The home visit was left on the schedule because I had some software issues, that were totally resolved the day of the appointment. As a sole proprietor/tile-man, I need my computer for work orders/puchase orders, etc. Also the data keeping/records of a business man require a quick/functioning computer. I will continue to deep Total Tech on an annual agreement. It is just like insurance...peace of mind.

Total tech

The fact you have to get certain things scheduled in the store is dumb customer service should be able to schedule tv mount appointments. Sometimes title tech discounts are like $1-$10 … like thanks? Idk .. then u get the warranty for 2 years but u gotta keep paying for the membership. Idk , it’s worth it but not at the same time,, I guess it’s worth it if you buy stuff and need it installed or mounted then I guess it pays for itself with 2 uses

Not tech savvy?

For the most part my electronics have held up beyond their allotted time. That being said if you wanted to get a PS5 you had to buy it with the total tech membership. I have my own personal thoughts about this situation. Anywho, after having to get it this did come in handy and paid for itself in a couple of uses. So if your not tech inclined I highly suggest it or even if your just to busy to do it yourself, get it.
