    Did a great job fixing my computer and removing all the viruses and making needed updates. Errors regarding membership billing caused much confusion, but thank the Geek Squad billing agent for immediately refunding my money when I was unable to understand what happened. When I checked out all he explained to me, I found out his explanation was completely right and renewed Totaltech membership.

    Cheaper that paying monthly phone protection & BET

    Totaltech is the only way to go. Insurance on high dollar cellphones from the big carriers is typically $16 per phone and $100-$150 deductible. Totaltech gives you a second year, low deductible, more coverage for the abuse some phones go through. Add free delivery. Double return time. Sale prices or deals. Free virus software. Double extended warranty. 3 different auto electronic, radio, camera, soeaker installation. It's by far cheaper. And I like having a local Bestbuy store over an online retailer for backup.

    Reached out to BestBuy see how much it would cost to install 5 in-ceiling speakers which were purchased outside of BestBuy. First agent I spoke to said it the services would come with TotalTech membership. I specified that these were not purchased from BestBuy and the agent said it still comes free with the membership. I purchased the membership with the agent who then transferred me to a different agent to schedule the install. I was then transferred to 3 or 4 different agents who weren't able to help schedule the install. The last agent then told me the initial agent gave me the wrong information and the services will be 20% off with the Totaltech membership. I chose to cancel the membership and asked how much it would be without the membership. Again, specifying that I had 5 in-ceiling speakers that were purchased outside of BestBuy. The quote remained the same so I purchased the service. On the installation date, I receive a phone call from the installation agent who then told me that they put down the wrong service and he will not be able to do the installation. I then called GeekSquad to reschedule the services but they would not honor the original price.

    This membership was the smartest purchase made at Best Buy since I started purchasing laptops and cell phones for my children. It gives me a peace of mind to know that I can bring it my devices and have it services or repair or even replaced without worrying about where to get it looked at and how much it would cost to repair or replaced. The good thing is that it covers items not purchased at Best Buy as well. Service is great and the employees are polite and very helpful.

    I have been a member of Geek Squad for the past couple of years, and I have been very happy and satisfied with GS service. This also includes contacting them remotely from home for monthly maintenance on my PC. The staff are also courteous and very professional in addition to being competent. That makes for the best possible service one can expect from a retailer who offers it.

    So far so good. I enjoy the installation and haul away. Just be careful that the installers may try to find an issue to charge you for a service. I learned that lesson the hard way. Could have saved myself some money if I wasn’t so desperate to get my dryer hooked so quickly. Other than that it’s been a decent service so far.

    This membership paid for itself immediately. I just purchased a new home, and needed appliances for it. With the membership ~$199 that initial cost paid for itself when it included the install for all of my appliances. I also received a $100 e-gift card with this purchase so that was a nice added bonus as well. I ended up buying an 86" TV a few weeks later and a mount as well, and with this membership the install for my TV/Mount is included so if you are someone who will be purchasing quite a bit of items for yourself I say the membership is well worth it!

    We purchased this membership due to what the sales rep who was helping us was saying. “ if anything happens to the items under the membership call the number make an appointment will come out affect it and try to fix it. If they can’t fix it, they will replace it with the same model or if the same model is not available something equivalent.” We got this in April 2023, dec31 2023 we get home from a two week vacation turn on the TV we start hearing like a firecracker noise from my TV We bought an April I thought it was our fan system from the show that we were watching and then I realize it didn’t match up with what we were watching good Burger 2 realized it was the TV and all of a sudden it was like little cracks forming all over the TV from the inside. Call the number and the rep literally laughed and was like “yea it’s cracked it doesn’t cover that”

    Not worth it. I got this when i made a large purchase of electronics to have protection and repair available for them. Ive brought in 2 electronic that were not working as they should have been and both times I was told to talk directly to the manufacturer for the issue. What good is this if they defer to the manufacturer and never fix anything

    Note to all: The TOTAL TECH membership has changed. Customers no longer receive in-home service as a feature of this membership, without an additional fee. Customers cannot delete auto-renew from the membership without cancelling the membership. You must call Best Buy before the next renewal to stop the renewal. If you delete your credit card from auto-renew, your remaining membership cancels.

    If there was a way to give a negative star rating I would. Never did I think I would be on the receiving end of the Total disrespect, I experienced today from Best Buy and their representative Ann. Our refrigerator broke and we have geek squad total tech repair. They made an appointment to fix the refrigerator for a week after we reported it. Then they decided to change the appointment the night before they were supposed to come for one more week later. That’s over two weeks to receive a repair for a brand new refrigerator. Purchased at Best Buy, I can’t tell you how disgusted I feel with using Best Buy geek squad totaltech. Absolute disrespect to loyal customers. Best Buy Total Tech (extra guarantee) is a lie. You are lying to your customers but worst of all this is theft. For you have failed to provide a service that I paid for.

    Paid for the membership instead of paying for installation of the dishwasher I purchased. I followed all the steps they told me to on the pre-delivery checklist, but when the delivery arrived, there was some “plumbing issue” so they couldn’t install. Apparently, only “some” of the delivery guys have the ability to fix it, and my guys didn’t. So I had to hire an actual plumber to come out and do the job. Then, when I scheduled Best Buy to come back and do the job, they cancelled with no reason the day before. Then it was going to take too long for them to schedule the next one, so I just had a handy friend help me do the install ourselves. Mind you, they had hauled away my old dishwasher, so I only had a dishwasher that wouldn’t work. The dishwasher itself had been just fine, but the membership wasn’t worth it for the install.

    An Insurance Plan that covers more than you think.

    Took my custom gamer PC tower in because it wouldn't come on. All of checking led me to believe it was a motherboard issue but I had no way to check to be sure. The store associate, upon hearing the problem with the PC, suggested TotalTech because just the diagnostic checking needed to accurately identify the problem was a charge of $99.00. The TotalTech Plan covered an entire year for any/all devices I may have, so I signed up right away. It's great insurance to cover some of labor charges in the event of a problem. Because, let's be honest, doesn't matter what device breaks down, I'm going to have it fixed. This plan will just save some money when that happens.

    The warranty does absolutely nothing that the original warranty doesnt already provide.. bad software- already covered. Charging issues- already covered.. my broken inside screen that was already a known issue no faukt of the users and was supposed to be replaced for free? Either way, i didnt get my new screen thru either warranty.. waste of money.
