||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While we had some good experience with dish washer installation and in store help with iPhone, the ring bell installation was worst service. We called a dozen times and they couldn’t send the right technicians and they expect the customers define who the right technician will be. I gave up and installed myself after 4 months

Overpriced and never used.

Worth it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so glad I purchased this when I bought my new laptop. It turns out it made it free for them to come to my home to set it up for me since I purchased it at the same time I purchased the laptop. If I had purchased it later they still would have set it up for free but only at the store. A month later I purchased a ring video doorbell and because I had totaltech it was free for them to come to the house to install and set it up. In addition, it extends the one year warranties on both items to two years. Lots of other features as well that definitely make it worth the price.

This is about Best Buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok, here goes! I know a lot gets blamed on COVID. But this ain’t that. Over a month ago, my washing machine went bad. My dryer had gone bad last year so I went to Best Buy to replace it with a matching piece. So when my washer went bad, I went back to get another matching piece. They were having an early Black Friday sale and I had a smart tv that wasn’t smart anymore so I bought a TV also along with local antenna gadget, a tilting mount, a devise that puts the cord through the wall and Total Tech support. Around $2400. Buying the Total Tech was supposed to give me free delivery. Sounded good. On paper that is. My washer was to be delivered the following Saturday. My laundry room is usually full of stuff, including a cat litter box so everything had to be moved out into my dining room. My daughter was coming home from Korea (who I haven’t seen in 3 year’s because of COVID) to stay for 6 weeks and I was trying to make sure everything was ready. Thanksgiving was to be at my house so I needed to get this done asap. I had an ill cat that kept throwing up and no washing machine so you can imagine the back up of laundry. Delivery day comes and I was ready. The delivery people bring in the washing machine while I hold the door for them. They set it down in my front hall because I have a stackable unit and the dryer has to be removed. They then went into my laundry room and explained that they could not finish the installation because I didn’t have a brand new stacking kit even though I had just bought the matching dryer and stacking kit last year. So I got on the phone with Best Buy and their supervisor on speakerphone at the same time. The supervisor told me that they were a third party and that was their regulation. Best Buy on the other line told me to go ahead and have them remove the dryer and take away the old washer and they would send out a Best Buy installer to finish the job. The problem with that is that Best Buy doesn’t have an installer for anything but electronics. The third party heard this, left my washer in the middle of the hall, refused to remove the dryer, install the new washer or remove the old washer dropped my unhooked hoses on the floor with water running on the floor and left. So I went into the store to see Logan who sold me the washing machine. Logan and I discussed in length the stacking kit when I 1st purchased the washer - as far as looking at the actual stacked unit in the store to make sure it was the same. So when I went back he showed me the actual email on his computer screen that describes this as a stackable unit with the dryer being on premises. He said they should’ve caught that and had a kit on the truck but I still hold Best Buy responsible. The third party was rude and didn’t want to solve any problems. So Best Buy said that they would send another installer. The problem with that is that they didn’t have another installer so when my next appointment came by, my appointment was canceled after I took off work to get this done (stating COVID as the problem). Btw, i had to call them to see what was going in. I went back to the store begging to get this done before Thanksgiving but no go. I had a washer in my hall, cat litter in my dining room, dirty laundry everywhere- Thanksgiving was canceled. The following appointment was made( I made sure that they gave me a stacking kit) and I left the store. Third delivery- The same delivery people came. I was put on the defensive every time I asked a question. I asked them if they would run a cycle through before they left and they said yes with hesitation. There was a problem with the 1st hook up. They told me I didn’t need the new hoses (funny because I needed a new stacking kit). So after the 1st hookup, the installer went out and got a new hose. I asked if they would level the washer and they said it didn’t need to be because of the heavy washer being on top. They did not stay to run the cycle through. They just turned it on and left. When the spin would start, the stacked unit would wobble. After the cycle was finished, I looked behind the washer and there was water in-between and on the back of the unit. I called Geek Squad and they told me they couldn’t get ahold of the the installer because he didn’t have a voicemail. Geek Squad said they would email them but that they couldn’t reschedule them because I was still on the schedule! Never heard from them again. I called Samsung and they said that the washer should’ve been leveled before the installation of the dryer. So I ended up paying for an independent contractor to come and fix the problems. I could not wait another week and a half for Best Buy to send out the same incompetent guys. Just so you know, in the end they were fired. Now comes the TV. The week before delivery, I received an email stating that Best Buy no longer had my TV. Not only did I buy it a month before, but I was given the option to take it home with me as well as the other 3 items that were supposed to be delivered. I turned it down because I’m 61 with a back problem (one of the reasons I couldn’t move my stacked unit in the middle of my laundry room back in place to get my cat litter box back in). So I went into the store to speak with Logan and said whats up? He explained to me that they were still in the warehouse but not in the store. I asked him how they were allowed to sell my TV and he said they are allowed as long as there is stock. He placed another order and assured me that I could even get it as soon as Wednesday but I couldn’t afford to miss another day of work so I kept my schedule for today. My delivery was confirmed 2 days ago by a live person and again by an automated voicemail yesterday narrowing my appointment from 9-1pm. Around 10am I received a phone call from Jeff (a Geek Squad employee) stating that he went to the Grove City store and they out of my TV. I said yes, you were supposed to get it from the warehouse. He said he didn’t know anything about that. I told him to contact Logan. Jeff texted me back and said that a manager would call me back by noon. He didn’t. I went to the store a little after noon and spoke with the manager. I had a charges removed from my account. The manager had no idea that I what was going on. He laughed and then said he shouldn’t laugh because it’s not funny. I said your right, it’s not. He argued about some of the charges before he figured out that I was correct. Not only was this experience a huge shortening of my life and a waste of my time (of which I have very little) but it causes me to think about how incompetent the people at the top of the Best Buy supply chain must be. I spent HOURS on the phone trying to get this figured out. Their Geek Squad experience is a joke. Literally no one in the entire store ever took responsibility for this experience. To get someone on the phone from Best Buy is life shortening. I am only sharing this to save someone else from going through it. If you buy from Best Buy, take it home right away and call a private installer. There service is a joke.

BestBuy Totaltech Membership No Longer the Best!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been with this service since its beginning. These last few years I have experienced the worst service ever. For example, when I sought the help I have relied on for years, I was not even able to understand the person who was suppose to be helping me. Once, when I allowed the remote access to my computer for the help I needed the agent crashed my system and I had to purchase a new system out of pocket. When I eventually received a gift card for some of my money spent, I could not even use the gift card to pay to renew my Totaltech membership. There are now long waits before a live person answers the phone. Now, the Geek agent no longer comes out to your home to service your equipment. You must bring everything into the store for servicing. I just cancelled renewing my Totaltech membershi[p.

Don't Sign Up For Total Tech.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received an email letting me know that I had a month left before my current membership was up for renewal. I had decided not to renew. I canceled the RENEWAL. a week later, my printer had a problem. Happy that I had a week left on my account, I called total Tech. After I told them what I needed, I was told it would be around $39.00. It was then that I learned that by canceling the RENEWAL, my last month was automatically cancelled. I weighed out just buying a new printer, or renewing and maybe getting this one repaired, I work from home, Can't have down time. I renewed, I then spent about three hours either on hold, or with multiple techs. The final tech commandeered my computer for a few hours. Then, sent me a short video that he walked through with me. It was supposed to clean my printer heads. When that didn't work, he said to take it to the store. He set the appointment up for me for the following day. He then stayed on the line as I filled out the feedback form that pops up. He was begging me for high marks. So, I gave hi what he wanted. My printer is big & heavy. I hauled it to my car and into Best Buy. The store wasn't busy. The guy at the tech counter knew I was bringing my printer for the printer head cleaning that the phone tech had told me to do. He called me by name( from the appointment) he then told me that not only they can't clean printer heads. That is never something that can be done. He said the tech on the phone had to know that. I got annoyed and asked him why I didn't get a call to stop me from having to bring my printer to the store. His answer? "WE DON'T DO THAT". I went hoe and cancelled my Total Tech contract I had had it about three weeks. I am now being billed $80. Almost half of the one year change. I'm trying to talk to someone. But, Best Buy has insulated all departments. I am being charged late fees. I will not pay this. I am betting that NOBODT contacts e from Best Buy.

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience, Amanda. Totaltech is set to auto-renew so any protection plans included with the membership do not get accidentally cancelled, so there isn't a way to cancel the renewal, only the membership itself. We apologize that this wasn't made clear to you.
While Geek Squad can troubleshoot issues with printer software and installation, if the printer itself is faulty we are unable to repair them, and only exchange them if you have a protection plan with Best Buy. We are sorry you were misinformed as to what the store could do for your printer issues.
When you cancel your membership you should receive a full refund as long as it was purchased within 60 days and no services were used. Please give us a call at 1-888-BESTBUY (1-888-237-8289) so we can investigate this for you.

Very disappointed with Totaltech and Best Buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointed with Best Buy and Best Buy's totaltech, after purchasing totaltech for a second year, I then purchased a 65" TV (11/19/21) I scheduled a delivery and mount installation for my new TV, I was given a 6 hour delivery window, I waited at home for the 6 hours, no one showed up. I called Best Buy spoke with totaltech, they let me know that the 3rd party delivery contractor said they tried to call but I did not answer, No they had not. I scheduled again, got the next available appointment, was given a 5 hour delivery window this time, again, no one showed up with my TV. I called Best Buy and again spoke with totaltech, again was told that the 3rd party delivery company was unable to make it, the reason given by the 3rd party company is family emergency came up. I again scheduled for the next available appointment, I told them I did not want to schedule with the same 3rd party company, the totaltech person spoke with the store directly and arranged for geek squad delivery, there was more problems with this so I went to the store and got it straightened out and Best Buy would be giving me a $100 gift card for my problems, the geek squad would be making the delivery . Or so I thought... I am home waiting for my delivery window 8am to 1 pm, at 9qm I call to make sure the geek squad would be making my delivery, I am assured all is well, and I should not call again until after 1:00, they will be there. At 1:00 I am again disappointed, kind of mad, so I wait, cool off before calling at 3:00, I am told, the 3rd party company was at fault but was not given an excuse this time... THIRD PARTY? I said, I asked for a supervisor or the Geek Squad directly, I was connected to a Geek Squad supervisor, and a new delivery and install was set with this Geek Squad supervisor, first available date February 2, 2022, I've been dealing with this for nearly 3 months. On February 2 the Geek Squad showed up and did a great job, they arrived at 11:00 am, their delivery window was between 8 am and 1 pm. A few days later I called about my gift card and asked if they could do any more as it was 2 more delivery attempts and another 6 weeks after I was promised the $100, they said that was the most they could do for an $1,100 TV I accepted that. My return exchange window it until 4/6/22 and the TV went on a deal of the day for $100 less than I paid, I went through the process of price match, was told I would be getting a $100 refund. Today 3/27/22 I received an email saying I was outside the return date so I would not be getting the price match. I call totaltech, after about an hour of working through what had happened I was denied the price match as they had already given me a discount of $100 on the TV. So 3 month of waiting and 3 no shows with me sitting wasting 15+ hours for deliveries that never showed, and getting $100, that is $6.66 an hour without taking into account for the 3 months! And that cancelled out the price match. If someone purchased the TV on February 2nd had absolutely no problems, then saw the price match, they would be exactly where I am, price wise without having wasted any time or having any aggravation. I do not feel totaltech was worth having, if I had not made the purchase I would have picked up the TV and installed it myself, just like I did the previous television.

Worth it if you buy enough
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This membership is definitely worth it if you plan on purchasing more than a few items in a year. Going into a new house, we bought TotalTech when we purchased our kitchen refrigerator and washer/dryer, which means we got a free extended warranty on all units. We also have purchased a Dyson vacuum, security cameras, and some other tech. This membership offered exclusive discounts on many of the items we purchased, it basically pays for itself if you are going to purchase more than a few items in a year. Plus you get the extended warranty, and GeekSquad access. I recommend it for a situation like ours.

Don't do it!!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terrible experience for me. 0 Stars. Please be warned. 1. Dishwasher installed wrong. Leaked all over the floor. 2. Repair, 3 week wait. 3. No show. Called Total Tech. They had routed my service to Audio/Visual repair. Wait another two weeks for repair person. 4. Repair person eventually came out (30 minutes late) and successfully fixed the install. 5. Ordered a different dishwasher (Bosch) as I read reviews that this Samsung is unreliable. Scheduled removal of Samsung. 6. Morning of pickup, I get a call asking if the dishwasher has been disconnected from plumbing. It was not and I was never told it had to be. Pickup people, "sorry, can't pick it up unless it's been disconnected!" Back to communicating with TotalTech. Good lord. I'll be demanding a refund on this incredibly bad service.

Worthless Service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Order # BBY01-806754456089 was placed using this service and it has been a nightmare of wrong parts delivered and having to pay the tech extra for the "right" part and a normal thing like reversing a dryer door was not included so they had to schedule a separate appt. to have it reversed. Basically my dryer is not usable in the configuration they left it. They want to charge me $61 to have tech come to reverse the door! I had to pay another $40 for the right hose to connect to my gas line because the one they sent with the unit was wrong.

Posted .Total Tech membership provides many discounts on parts and services. I would recommend purchases including appliances to be done in store as these complications do arise and time is setup to complete installations. You can contact us on our website chat, calling (888) 237-8289, Facebook/Instagram Best Buy Support, Twitter @BestBuySupport or in store.

Unfortunately, this is not a favorable review,
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hello, this is the first time I regret using Best Buy and the Geek Squad. I poke a 65 inch video to be delivered and set up in my home. The TV that I had really had no issues. I just wanted something a little larger than the 55 that I had in my room. I was encouraged strongly to get the annual plan. A couple days after the TV was installed in my room the signal according to the technician was weak, and I needed to purchase a new extender and I did. But after speaking to another friend of mine, that works in the IT department at his place of appointment Check my equipment and inform me that the extenders that I had are working fine. So I am not happy about purchasing the annual plan and then being talked into spending additional money.

So far so good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never sign up for any subscriptions unless I really want something. I originally signed up for totaltech in order to try and get access to certain hard-to-find products. Have to say thus far I haven’t gotten the product I want, but I’ve gotten multiple alerts of other products that I was able to purchase at a really good price and they were sold out in the same day. I didn’t know best buy had really good pricing until I got this subscription (the pokemon celebrations product prices are outrageous everywhere else). The customer service staff has been very polite, efficient and knowledgeable. So far, it was a pretty solid investment. And I still have 2022 to go.
