Too expensive for the value it provides, in my opinion.

I usually don't buy extra warranties but as this was a huge purchase (washer & dryer) I did. I'm glad because it extended not just the warranty of the appliances but also I had the support of the Totaltech team which helped my exchanges for the washer. The washer was damaged upon delivery and the two subsequent replacement washers were also similarly damaged. Arranging the replacement and deliveries was easy and the final third replacement was good.

Must purchase if you are a best buy frequent shoppers. I decided to purchase Totaltech because I was making a major appliance purchase and purchasing an Apple product. I wanted to take advantage of the free shipping and the apple care, as well as the additional discounts the membership offers. Altogether the amount I paid for the membership paid for itself. I purchased an ipad and screen protector and I did not have to wait long to have it installed and it was FREE with TotalTech membership. Overall, this is a no brainer purchase for Best Buy Rewards members.

When I bought the new computer the geek squad member who was the set it up for me told me I didn’t need a new computer. I told them that I had already bought it and I needed them to set it up for me. When I came back to pick up both computers another member of the geek squad told me I didn’t need the new computer. I have a friend whose career is tech support. He said that the geek squad did such a horrible job that you should give me a new computer. A phone call or text message would be nice.

Purchased this when we got our new TV the price difference between the extended warranty and the Totaltech membership were close enough to take the leap, since then I have had bigger discounts on other items that would be normally more, plus all the items that we have purchased since have been covered without the upfront cost. Defiantly worth the money for the amount we buy from best buy

Bought the totaltech service to have an electric oven installed in a wall cabinet. When the installers arrived there were in a u-haul truck. They trusted me to turn off the electricity to my main panel, which is pretty scary. I personally would not do electrical work without turning off the main myself as it's risky. They installed the oven and left, but looking at the install I realized that they had taken the bottom trim to the oven with them. I remember one of the installers walking away with a piece that looked like the trim. And it was impossible to track the part down from them after they left. Now I'm stuck with sourcing the part or returning my unit. I gave up and just ordered the trim part to fix myself. But what a nightmare. As well I'm still picking up screws from my kitchen floor. On top of it they were fairly rude with manner of speech. I've never had such a poor install experience.

Great for some preoders, but not worth it, its a little too expensive

My computer was infected with ransom ware due to an attack at my company(working remotely). Brought it into Best Buy Pflugerville for repair. Logan was the tech person and was right on time for the appointment. With in 10 minutes he came up with a solution to the problem. Could have wiped the entire hard drive and reinstalled programs, instead he suggested a new hard drive, keep the old drive intact just in case the company received the release code. Brilliant idea, he went to work, computer was finished the next day. I will bring all my computer issues to Logan at Best Buy. Great Job

I purchased this Totaltech membership when my old, really old desktop crashed. The folks worked for a few days and we had to 'bury' my desktop - complete with ceremony, too. :) Anyway, before we gave up the ship, the folks worked several times trying to get new drivers to work, trying to get connections to work, etc. I finally gave in and purchased a new laptop which the Totaltech folks set up for me and my personal use. These guys and gals are friendly and helpful. Glad I have this protection.

You will forget you subscribed at be charged a lot of money

This service has worsened over the years. I would not recommend.

When I was offered this program it was explained to me that it was the total tech package. All your tech needs would be met. You would have assistance quickly & receive VIP treatment. However, every time i try to use the service the staff at Best Buy just try to refer me somewhere else. I have to insist that as total tech member this is a covered service. Then they proceed to help me. There is no VIP treatment they don't even want to help me. I explained to them that I signed up for total tech and purchase my tech from here so that I am covered in case I need help with my tech. So why every single time I need help do they suggest I go somewhere else?! It is as if they are upset to honor the total tech membership. I am ready to cancel it at this point. IT IS LIKE PULLING TEETH TO GET HELP WITH SIMPLE THINGS!!

So, our yearly membership purchased August of 2023, came due May 30 2024. The first email was to inform us the renewal rate is 413.99, then we get one for 179.99 plus tax. We canceled as we never used it.

I think this is a promising product and service from Bestbuy. I have the Elite Plus membership already, so initially didn't like to pay another $200 for this. However, as time goes on, I start to like this paid membership - it covers installation for cars, that along saves over $100. Then it provides extra warranties, that's another $20 to $100 depending on how many items I buy. Lastly, I got PS5. My only recommendation is the selection of TotalTech deals - please provide something meaningful instead of pokemons or useless daily deals. Please include graphic cards to the selection.

I was rushed although I had an appt. Although my laptop is working better I feel it could be a better recommendation for the paid service. So if I need a Better battery. Or what about internet protection. It’s still saying outdated. I feel like it band aid was placed on the problem

Won’t be renewing this due to not providing replace of appliances
