This membership is a great value and the geek squad is very professional

Don’t typically ever purchase protection plans or any of these type things. Purchased a MacBook and the subscription gets me AppleCare on any Apple product I buy from BB. BB Protection on any purchases on non-Apple products. Supposed to give tech support for products purchased any where. Already used data transfer from my old Mac to the new one and that would have been a 70 dollar charge. After first year I will decide if I want to renew it or not but seems like it may be worth it.

I paid for the service for the warranties on my purchases and the install and delivery services. I did not get installation on a treadmill (long story short they decided to not install after a delivery during a snow storm but never rescheduled the install). I opted out of the total tech service in lieu of not getting what I paid for. Best Buy subsequently revoked all of the warranties on the smaller purchases I made that year since buying the service.

Love it but way too expensive maybe cut down on price more

Membership is easy to sign up for and the service I got was fantastic

I signed up for the annual membership and only used it once. Had no problem bringing in my PS4 controller when it started drifting. Customer service was awesome and the exchange was quick and easy. Since I only used it once I decided it wasn't worth paying $200 a year, so I canceled it. I got the email confirmation that it was canceled with a egift card for the prorated days that were left. And I even screenshot the chat with the confirmation that it was canceled. BUT my credit card was still charged. Good thing my credit card company flagged it for fraud so the charge was declined. But they kept charging my credit card. So I had to cancel my credit card and request for new credit card. And Best Buy still kept sending emails notifying me to update my credit card information and that the charges were getting declined.

There are a lot of pluses to the program. We had a smart thermostat installed and a grill assembled at no cost. It also helped us with the cost of our dryer delivery and installation. It protects you by providing a total protection plan (extended warranty) for items. With our rough-and-tumble kids that is important. However, when we needed our laptop fixed, I found out for the first time that a $79 deductible applied. Now, that is a reasonable price to pay for the repair. But without doing a deep dive, you will never see that a deductible is even a possibility. So beware. I believe that this is a recent addition but nonetheless it is shady.

I was hesitant to purchase this membership but I’m glad I did. I’m pretty sure I’ve already got the value of the membership back. I took a broken laptop in and purchased a new one. They repaired the old one and transferred my data to the new computer. They had them ready the very next morning also. They were great to work with! I feel sure this cost was cheaper than the repair fees would have been.

Not What i expect takes too long and they don't complete the work

I am not computer or tech savvy which is why I purchased this membership. Although the process of getting through to a person who will actually help takes quite a bit of time, so I always set aside 1-2 hours for assistance. That being said, everyone is always helpful.

I really haven't found tech for me to experience my membership. I was trying to get the Playstataion 5, but even Total Tech doesn't do miracles. I even thought i would get much lower prices even on 4k movies, I'll wait until Black Friday then i will see if my membership was worth it. For now, it just isn't $200.00 gone to waste

It becomes too expensive, and the service is not that great

I have been a Greek Squad Member for some time now. This membership is a real value and well worth the money I have spent. The technician’s over at my local Best Buy are well trained, smart & friendly. I have received some very good advice from them over the years on products I needed for my P.C. & entertainment requirements. Also, I like the peace of mind I get knowing I get protection plans on my purchases at Best Buy. I highly recommend the Greek Squad membership.

I can’t imagine purchasing my electronics anywhere else because of this membership. The peace of mind I have knowing that I can have my products worked on, fixed and replaced is amazing. Not only will you be bumped up to FAST service, you’ll receive perks like discounts and promotions unavailable to the general public. Within 6 months, the membership paid itself off. Knowing I have Best Buy and the Geek Squad taking care of me, I don’t hesitate to shop here. Most definitely keeping my membership.

I literally paid for this membership with the first purchase. It really came in handy for my new dishwasher and flat screen installation. No separate charges for delivery, haul away and service. I really like it. I called customer service with a question and received VIP treatment, which I appreciated greatly. It’s a very good purchase for me.

Not happy with this membership. I had a bad experience.

You never know when you're going to break down! It feels incredibly safe to know that if something goes wrong, the Geek Squad stand ready to help you out. I purchased the service after a new computer purchase. They set it up for me, no worries. Then, when I purchased a new printer, I just couldn't get it connected. An appointment was set for the Geek Squad to make an in-home visit to hook it up. He was in and out in half-hour. I was thoroughly satisfied with this service.

Good service. The help is there when you need it.

Bought a 1200 dollar tv. Was told the benefits of this membership and was stoked i make sure all my products are under warranty. Had something break that i paid for a warranty prior and the woman at the desk told me that the membership i have will only replace item (2 to 3) under that membership before its not covered and a max item is reached. I buy all of my high tech items from here...washers, dryers, games, console, laptops. Everything. Its cheaper and better to buy each item with protection than this umbrella protection if you buy a ton because the few items in a year is NOT it when i have 20 or more items a i buy at the very least that can malfunction and then they not even be covered because ive reached my max.

a rip off unless your computer breaks in 2 years than who knows
