Do not purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The only benefit I got out of this is that geek squad came and mounted a tv to a wall. Which is not hard to do. Membership over all is not worth it. No benefits came form having this. Ac couldn’t be looked at because I had to take it back to store to get it looked at. Refrigerator couldn’t be looked at because Best Buy can’t service a refrigerator till the year warranty from company was up. Which made no sense since this was one of the selling points of this. Couldn’t have the car remote started installed because there are no locations Around Brooklyn that installed them, and the only location in queens didn’t have any appointments available for the foreseeable future. So don’t waste your money this is not worth it!!!!!

Disappointed So Far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The only time I needed Total Tech and my three month old Gigabyte monitor with a damaged screen just goes to electronic recycling, because Total Tech doesn't replace screens on this monitor, not even for a fee.

They call ahead--they call back--they offer at home service! I have already used this for my dishwasher/home desktop /and laptop. Excellent all around and special mention to Pulley (home service) and the dishwasher guy whos name eludes me. Both were Professional/knowledgable/On time or early/ informative/Covid safe/ and super friendly. Definitely worth the membership!! Hard to find customer service like this now days!

Dissatisfaction
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Received email regarding renewal of membership indicating it would automatically renew on 8/30 unless I cancelled before hand. I attempted to have the current membership cancelled as of 8/29/2023 to avoid another charge. Apparently that is not possible on your end. I finally figured out that "the membership" was the warranty according to the individual I spoke with. The entire conversation only caused my blood pressure to go sky high I didn't want to stop my warranty....I just did not want to renew it at the cost quoted. My family and I have purchased a good number of computers/laptops over the years...they may continue, but at 72 I do not want to deal with this inefficiency. Thank you

Fantastic Service!

I was hesitant at first due to the price tag, and wasn't really sure if it was worth it, but it's a great buy. So far, they've helped me with my laptop, came to my home and provided an in-home evaluation for a home theater system AND appliance recommendations, PLUS installed my new equipment. Without this service, I wouldn't have had this level of support. The team who came out to the home was great - helpful, knowledgeable, and good communicators.

NOT WORTH IT

Overall it was an absolutely terrible experience. It took Over 3 months to receive my orders/installed and I spent hours speaking with representatives trying to resolve. Bestbuy cancelled delivery on me 3 different times after I took days off. Representatives put me on a silent hold for 20+min at a time. Representatives promised I would receive follow up calls from Management which never happened. I didn't speak to a single person who spoke English as their first language. Totaltech membership was a nightmare and I would not recommend.

There is little to no waiting for someone to come to aid you. Although I do have to say that the price is a bit much expensive

With the second advisor, he helped me very well. I located the laptop I was looking for and finally I took an ASUS Gamming as well as a Macbook Pro

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.was buying 2 ipad pro 5th gen and the sales person recommended we buy the totaltech membership which was $200 and get $200 off the ipad pro which basically made the totaltech free and plus we got a 2nd ipad pro $200 off at the time of purchase. I also got 2 new ipencils and save $30 off each. this worked out great and the totaltech gave us free applecare for upto 2years on all the products as long as we remain a member which has to be renew each year. so far so good and i like the savings I have already racked up!!!!!

I called and made the appointment. I was clear the TV was a mantelmount and to be installed above the fireplace. I asked specifically if it was an extra charge and they assured me it would not be extra. Everything was supposed to be free. A week later the tech showed up to install the TV mount and let me know it would be a couple hundred dollars more. I called back and spoke to a supervisor, Ivan. He talked in circles and would not offer any help. This has been a waste of time and very frustrating.

Borderline Scammy

Impossible: they were 2 weeks out. I installed the printer myself. Why woudl I pay $220/year to get service in 2 weeks? Also, I purchased an ASUS laptop at BB, and the salesperson didn't tell me I would lose the store warranty if I dropped the Total Tech membership. BB refuses to replace their Total Tech plan with a simple warranty plan: if you don't want to find yourself with no warranty (outside of the basic manufacturer warranty) you have to buy the whole plan $220 a year, about 15-20% of the computer value! BestBuy won't sell me my next computer. (I guess this review isn't gonna qualify for the $400 review prize).

Total Tech

If the information given is correct this program will be greatly beneficial to people. It even states that it will cover all products bought from Best Buy for 2 years as long as you pay the yearly fee for the product again with the possibility of extending past the 2 years. That was the only thing that confused me...what is the criteria to meet the possibility of an extension past 2 years?

Highly Recommended Membership

It was determined everything was working correctly. It appeared we over reacted as this is a digital washer and dryer that was new to us and we were not familiar with the new technology. The service professional was well knowledged, professional, great customer service snd arrival time was good. I only wish the block of time was not so long. I jighly recommend this membership.

Saved the Day

He immediately picked up the phone, came to my home an assessed I had received a defective product. He signed me up for Totaltech. His help is priceless. I received a new smoker, free delivery, free assembly, lower price on product. Southland Taylor, MI location. Customer Service is so important to me. Poor people cant afford to buy broken products. 24 months of fix, replace repair is well worth the price for me.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. MONEY GRAB

Plan got cancelled by accident after a year. I called total tech and said I didn't cancel it (the day that I received the email stating to call them if I didn't request the cancellation) and they said there is nothing they can do. Now I have TVs, laptops, and other items that have no warrantee. In the past I would purchase a regular protection plan for these items. Looks like they are trying to make money off this total tech membership rather than selling warrantees.

After 20 years, I'll never buy from BB again

Moved into a new house last year, bought 2 TVs, a Total Tech/Geek Squad membership and 2 mounts to have then install. It took 8 weeks to finally get to the point of cancelling everything. They couldn't locate the delivery truck with the TVs. Now 6 months later, I'm still fighting with them for a full refund. Ugh. Never again. I will never buy anything from them.

Good value

I've already benefitted from the extended return/no restocking policy and have received discounts on a couple of purchases. Phone support is a challenge - bad menus and lack of knowledge on some techs
