    Purchase this before you buy a very expensive product. For example, I bought it with my new TV and vacuum. With this, they’ll come install and recycle your old tv if asked. If something goes wrong (within warranty) they’ll fix it (for $0 or small fee). It also covers additional products you purchase after for the entire year. If youre not tech saavy, this is worth it!

    The cost totaltech membership is money well spent. You can set-up an appointment to clear up any issues you have with your purchase at the store or take advantage of the 24/7 service provided with remote login. Either way you chose, you are dealing with truly knowledgeable, helpful people who quickly fix your problems. They will even come to your home if necessary.

    Purchased totaltech when I got a micrawave and needed it installed with a trim kit and have the old removed and hauled away. It was only going to be and extra $20 for total tech for the year so I'm giving it a try. Not sure if it will be needed, time will tell.

    This membership for me was a purchase to grab a PS5 last year. After I got the PS5, I began purchasing TV's with mount installation. The cost of the installation for the Tv mount wall installation on its own was $250, this membership has paid for itself. Not to mention the other perks of discount prices off of big item products. So far so good, I may keep it another year.

    I can't see myself using TotalTech a whole lot, given I can figure out most of my own technical issues. It does pay for itself though, if you're making a large purchase. Delivery and installation were free, and the warranty coverage adds up. Well worth going worry-free for a couple years when making those big purchases.

    Seems like a great value! Just the added protection on the products I purchase is enough but also has the extra benefits of pricing deals which I have used and saved money, so if you come across things that you want and get better pricing it might just as well pay for itself within the deals. I recommend just on the fact of protecting your devices, especially if you own Apple products and you get extra benefits on top of it too!

    its good but its pricey.. have had issues with laptop freezing up but it does not seem to get fixed when i try to have them fix it whether its remote or in store.. was a laptop purchased last year too.. even desktop i have can have the issues..

    The membership definitely has many perks to it. Some free services and deals are definitely enticing. I also like reduced wait times when making customer service calls. A bit expensive, but I bundled it with a service and I am good for a year of more free services!

    Regan was a delight to work with. Great smile, courteous, and an innate ability to diffuse hostile situations with ease. She can talk to you like a techi or communicate on a level consistent with the least sofisticated consumer making them feel a level of trust even when they don’t have a clue what is going on. Great communication skills, great personality, great person

    We buy all kinds of things through Best Buy so when they told us about the Total Tech. I love that everything I buy is covered for a couple years automatically and they will give you the option to extend. They also have items that are special prices yo be members. I am excited to see what else is offered. Customer service has always been a nightmare to get through to so the idea that I will get through easier is a plus too.

    Useless: No service, EXTREMELY poor Communication

    Signed up for this service believing Geek Squad might have some knowledge or expertise more than the average user - but NO, they gave up trying to fix my laptop's software issue without much effort. But the Cruelest Joke is calling this a SERVICE plan, when you can't even leave a message or talk to ANYONE without scheduling an appointment DAYS in advance! -- I wanted to contact the store about picking up my Not-Fixed Laptop - was forced to talk to the automated system for 10 min, then put on hold for 10 min, then given to an operator 8000 miles away who could not understand - spent 30 MINUTES just trying to leave a message for the local store! -- I went IN to the store to pick up mu NOT_FIXED laptop, and found 3 other people waiting for service, with NO ONE at the Geek squad desk for 10 minutes. Finally asked someone in the store, who paged them, but waited another 15 minutes for them to deal with the others, then another 5-10 to pick it up. -- while waiting i tried to go online to make an appointment, which is Nearly Impossible! When you finally find a button labeled "new appointment" it takes you to a page that says "put in your invoice #". How do I put in an invoice number for a new appointment? -- How hard is it to help someone make an appointment, if that is the ONLY way you will EVER get to even talk to someone at Geek Squad without standing and waiting an hour? I do NOT recommend this "service" unless you have Extremely simple tech questions, and are retired or don't work, and have HOURS to spend on the phone, online, and in the store!

    What a scam! After paying for a month of this service, I ordered a tv to be installed by Geeksquad with this service and did not receive my request. Instead a third party was sent to my home with out all the proper supplies and I had to make a trip to a best buy store to purchase supplies that the contractor didn't have with them. After this unprofessionalism, added expense, travel to store, dishonesty etc I canceled my membership after 30 days with very little refund from best buy.

    So far so bad. Ordered an appliance to be delivered and installed. The 1st 2 ovens were broken and needed to be replaced. All deliveries and instalations are done by a a 3rd party who best buy has no control over. They constantly reschedule or just do not show up. Appointments have been pushed back numerous times. We have been doing this for 6 weeks and still do not have a functioning oven installed. Best buy says they cannot do anything to help because the contract everything out to other people.

    The best protection I ever invested in! These guys have been great helping me with technical problems, spyware, etc…I live in a rural area and they also helped me virtually! I didn’t have to drive over an hour to get help where they are located and if they cannot fix it they will not stop until they get an agent within to find a solution in which they did!

    I was unsure about purchasing this totaltech but I’m glad I did. So far I have saved some money on purchases (not enough to pay for totaltech) but I’ve only had it about a month. I’m sure by the time it’s time to renew I will have gotten well more than my money’s worth.

    My Totaltech membership immediately provided valuable benefits. First, it fully covered Data Recovery on my damaged laptop which would have cost me $200. Already I have broken even. Second, I was unable to install the printer driver for my old printer on my new laptop. Geek Squad made a FREE house call & installed the printer driver for me within 10 minutes.     I don’t like the value because it’s just way to expensive for something some people already know how to do for themselves! Thankfully my husband knows how to work with any technology so no need for this!

    Disappointed in managers

    Purchased an LG 55” TV but was not told the stand was separate. I only found that out at home with everything unboxed and no way to watch TV. I called and spoke to several sales reps and each one said only a manager could help, And I would get a call within 24 hours. I didn’t get a call. I called again the next day, and was told I’d get a manager’s call within 2-4 hours. I bought the TV on Saturday. It’s now TuesdayI I’m still waiting for a call! I give up. I will take all future business elsewhere.
