Best But Totaltech is a GREAT deal

You get the service coverage for the Best Buy items you pirchase. You get free delivery, installation & haul away. You get Geek Squad support for all of your electronics. Even the ones you didn't buy at Best Buy!

Quality support

I recently purchased a mac and being a PC person, it definitely threw me some curveballs. The Squad did not make me feel less and helped point me in the direction of learning how to use this device. Overall, this support was a quality purchase.

Used it the first time to save my laptop from some hacking. After the initial contact I have used their services to set up my TV and make adjustments. Best part is when they know that a phone call is not the best approach to a problem, they set up a service call. Highly recommend Totaltech.

Nice perks for big purchases

Disappointed it didn't help me get a halo xbox series x like customer service told me it would, but happy it could help get me the regular version x.

They were super responsive in what seemed to us like an emergency situation. We will always maintain our Totaltech membership. It is easier to manage than the previous Geek Squad program. We are happy Best Buy customers.

I have purchased a lot of items from Best Buy and to have that warranty added on immediately for Apple products, as well as all other products is a no brainer! This will be very useful to us and well worth the membership money. I am an avid Best Buy shopper! I would recommend this membership to everyone!

Zero communication. No call, no show.

Afterwards, I was sent a link to schedule the delivery and installation - seemed simple enough. Scheduled it for that Friday (this was on a Tuesday). That day, get a bunch of emails - check list for the install, etc. Following day get an email to schedule the installation appointment before and I pause, like I just did this yesterday, have the confirmation email to prove it. Nonetheless schedule everything a second time. Fast forward to Friday, I’ve taken off and I’m in the middle of moving but I tell myself I’ll stay around the new place because inevitably when you get tied up doing something or go out somewhere you’re going to get that call that they’re arriving for the install. Mind you, the only thing they’ve communicated at this point is they will be there from 12-8pm. I figured the day of install maybe I’ll get a call to narrow that down some - nope. So pretty much you’re taking my whole day away from me. 8:30pm no one has shown up. Zero communication from Best Buy/Geek Squad. I email on the forums here and I can’t put into words how angry and frustrated I am with Best Buy right now. ZERO customer service. ZERO respect for people’s time, but they’re real quick to offer a membership to take your money and completely drop the ball. I literally had a Best Buy customer service person tell me she was sorry my feelings are hurt - really?! And another FINALLY just today (almost a week later) is explaining the issue was that they didn’t have the thermostat to begin with but now they do so in his words “all that’s left is to schedule the install.” Complete disregard for customer’s time and it seems like everyone that’s supposed to work in customer service just has an utter arrogance for…for lack of better words customer service. Especially when YOU’RE at fault. Communication is an issue that Best Buy needs to prioritize fixing - OVER COMMUNICATE. Train your employees how to communicate respectfully when you drop the ball and with regard to people’s lifestyles and schedules. This was my first and only “membership experience” — I didn’t get member pricing on the thermostat so the only real “benefit” I was getting the opportunity to test out was the services installation and based on this experience, completely not worth $200/year. You should actually be paying me for wasting my time and day off.

Great Staff

The entire staff was very helpful and friendly while i waited. Chris was my installer and convinced me to upgrad to the totak tech membership. I already bought an amp to go with the speakers so my new membership will come in handy. I give a solid 11/10 for my whole experience.

What a great deal!

All installation was included in our membership. After installation, the tech explained how everything worked, answered all of our questions, and told us to call if we had any issues or more questions. This plan also covers any other electronics that we have.

It's not what you think

My tv started acting up withing 5 months i called them to come and replace it. Techs came to my home and told me Sony still under warranty by Sony contact them for first year of the warranty . This is insane total tech supposed to cover 2 years, so basically after 1 year pass then total tech will cover it other catch this means you will have to pay total tech every year to keep that second year of the warranty. Ending paying $400 for 2 years warranty enjoy it totaltech

The games will break and the manufacturer will not cover it. The games cost too much not to ensure. I’d rather pay a small deductible than the entire price to replace a game or fix a game.

Ontime online assistance

I prefer the in home online care that they promote and I receive. I do not have to leave my home to get service for my needs. Today I had one the tech to put a link on one of my desktops for ontime quick attention to my computer. I would certainly recomend them.

Free Warranty Protection

I am an avid electronic user so I buy and use lot of things and being able to not have to wonder if I have protection is honestly a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.

Overrated

BEST Best Buy Purchase

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1 of the Geek Squad reps "Ty removed my hard drive and CD/DVD Player from an old computer and after doing so he said he was not allowed to work on it and that the Hard Drive was Blank and he wouldn't be able to put it back together. This voided my warranty. USA all 50 states bad economy, inflation, highest interest rates and 2 wars will bankrupt a whole lot of businesses and companies that need lifelong term loyal customers to survive!

Total tech is great

My tech knowledge is limited and so far I have had all of my questions answered for every product I purchased: laptop, phone, hub usb port, hard drive, phone accessories, and 1 home service for printer connection. agents were prompt, courteous, respectful, patient, and friendly and also knew the products well.
