    The company does NOT repair items no bought in the store even though when the Total Tech Membership was purchased, I was assured items would be covered. I do not recommend spending the money to buy. The delay times are horrendous and Best Buy will find a reason not to fix it. Please stay away!!!

    Total Tech Protection is a good insurance

    I haven't had a chance to really use this yet, but since I have it anyways, its good insurance to have. Pricy though i must admit but cheaper than car insurance!

    I am always having problems setting up my systems, running them, and diagnosing what is wrong when they don't work. With Totaltech, I have help whenever I run into problems. Buying this plan is the smartest money I have ever spent. Safety and time saving, I can now depend on getting problems fixed quickly and well.

    I had TTS when I lived in Nebraska because at the time I was working from home. The only reason I returned my TTS this time around is because I am moving to the Middle East in 2 months where Best Buy doesn't exist. If that wasn't the case you better believe I would have kept my TTS this time around.

    Purchasing the Totaltech plan was less expensive than ordering the product (television), paying for delivery, and paying for installation. And because I hope to purchase a major appliance in the next year, it will likely save me money on that product too..the purchase was a "no brainer".

    I bought this thinking it would be needed for future ps5 purchases after one drop was locked behind this membership. They decided to make ps5s not require this or gpus so they were botted and out of stock almost instantly. I feel duped and really regret buying this membership. The free same day shipping and free installs are good perks but i don't see myself using them much to justify a $200 memmbership cost.

    Technical service and support people are excellent, explain things very clearly. However, there are not enough of them and the way it can be over a half an hour even with an appointment

    I'd mainly recommend TotalTech if you decide to spend a lot during the year and have a bunch of products under Warranty or are planning to have your products installed in your home. For me, it was the installation part that was 100% worth the price for it. $200 a year is a little steep if your only buying a few things from them.

    I spent $200 on the program and so far it has saved me $350 on computer repair and hard drive recovery alone. I went on a spending spree and bought a bunch of stuff-I am saving hundreds on individual insurance on each of the products. A good deal this year...$200 a year continuously is a question mark. but-so far so good!

    Stay away unless you live close to a store

    The brick and mortar Best Buy store closed in my town last year. I thought Totaltech would make up for that loss in some ways. Currently the closest BestBuy is a two hour drive for me. This isn't the first time this has happened: I ordered the wrong item and had a question for the totaltech team. It was in the "preparing to be shipped" order status. I asked Totaltech chat if they could cancel it and allow me to order the correct one before it ships, if not no biggie, how quickly can we resolve this, etc. I got passed around to 3 different agents, with the conclusion being "your order can't be canceled because it's already being processed for shipment." This observation was clear and the exact reason I initiated the chat with totaltech. I waited 30 minutes on chat for that query. And how did they suggest I go about remedying the situation? Wait a week until the item arrives, then ship it back (I keep getting told to "take it back to the store when it arrives, it's so easy!" which is insulting). Point being, if you don't live close to a store, you're actually paying more money for less service and more hassle. Just horrendous customer service--I canceled my totaltech immediately. Totaltech might be awesome if you live close or are within driving distance to a brick and mortar store--but a word of caution for anyone relying on shipping: exchanges will be painful and you'll be treated second rate while paying for first class.

    This pays for itself. Literally! We got the membership while we were buying parts for my son’s computer and the rep we spoke with told us Best Buy could build the computer for us for FREE! We have since used the free services every chance we get, which makes buying from Best Buy way more worth it than it already is. Do it!

    We were a little hesitant to get the Totaltech membership. But for a few dollars more than the services we needed on our laptop we figured “What the heck”? We have since used it for delivery of 2 major appliances (and they hauled off the old ones). It has definitely payed for itself.

    Gaming Computer Purchase with upgrades

    Purchased Gaming computer. Total Tech took parts from old gaming computer and added to new computer to create an even better computer. Added Hard Drives, RAM and set it up for max performance. Very Happy with the service. Alex was the rep who help me through the process. He was awesome.

    I was building my first computer and ran into complications trying to follow online instructions. Total tech saved the day and finished the build a day ahead of schedule! Mohamed and the whole Geek Squad saved the day!

    A guy at Best Buy told me if I signed up I would almost definitely be able to purchase a new gen console during the events. He was right, the next morning the switch oled went into my cart and will be ready for pick up soon! YES! Thank you Best Buy, you the real MVP.

    I think this is a good value, though it does make me inclined to purchase more tech items from Best Buy to enhance the value. I'm sure that is the idea behind the plan but it is a great deal, especially if you are purchasing large appliances. I wish it had been available earlier this year when I bought a refrigerator and washer and dryer.

    Love knowing my laptop is protected if something unexpected happens. I can't get my kids to help me, even if they know the answer, so it's nice knowing I can call in for help even if it's just something minor. I also loved being able to pick up my new laptop with everything set up and ready to go!
