Totaltech Membership

Best Buy delivered and set up our new 65 inch Sony Bravia Smart TV, which was included in the subscription, and also relocated/wall mounted our existing 55" tv for $170. Their service techs did an excellent job.

Definitely enjoying the membership

I’ve had a purchase price lowered because I have the membership, I get 24 months of additional protection on items I buy…. so far, it’s an awesome investment. I spend money to get some benefits. It’s nice.

Totaltech yearly membership

I never imagined that I was going to use it so much within a year, but I have used it with 2 laptops and I also have added benefits in other purchases at Best Buy. I will definitely renew this membership when due!

Do not set up renewing membership

I cancelled auto-renew a year ago. Best Buy still charged my card. I asked Best Buy to cancel. They said they did, but did not refund my card. Do not let Best Buy set you up for a renewing membership!

Love my membership!

It provides you with unlimited Geek Squad Support, member prices and the peace of mind that your new purchase is going to be covered in a great plan! I just had an issue with my new stove and due to having the membership I will be able to returned it passed the first 14 days.

After the store rep explained the membership, we knew that we could not go wrong, especially with how much we purchase at BestBuy! I love that you get discounts on items! Love the two day shipping! Definitely worth the money!

Terrible service no communication

Left my laptop to have the screen fixed, was told that within 24 hours they would either have it fixed have it sent to geek squad city. I hadn’t heard anything for 3 days so I called my local store in Northampton, I asked what the status was and was told “you will have to wait” and was hung up on. I called again the next day and was told that the laptop would have to be sent in to get fixed. After sending the laptop in I was told it would be another $230 to get it fixed. I emailed back saying that I would like to decline the service and have the laptop sent back to my local store. After a week I still did not hear anything so I called my local store to see if had been delivered yet, only to find out geek squad city hadn’t even sent it yet. It’s been 2 weeks without a laptop and I will have to wait another week to get it back. Absolutely ridiculous, no communication coming from Best Buy and showing no urgency for their members. Would never recommend the totaltech membership, complete scam all they care about is taking your money. Coming from a big company like Best Buy I expected a much better experience and a lot more internal organization.

Great membership

I have bought other big items but I was hesitant to purchase this membership. I finally agreed to it and I really enjoyed it. Employees are great help and I can just seat back and relax while they do the work and if something malfunctions I know I’m covered.

Exceeded expectations by a long stretch

Saved a bundle on all sorts of stuff from extended warranty and service, installation of tv systems, on-line help from Geek Squad, etc. I'm actually quite impressed. If you don't have a bunch of electronics it may not be worth it for you, however.

Total Tech Support is totally worth it!

It pays for itself, quickly, as your product/technology is installed correctly and has BestBuy geek squad support. We have saved so much time, sweat, tears, and $$…that we now don’t hesitate to renew the annual subscription fee.

Extended warranty a good idea for tech

Shame on MS. What a horrible thing to go through. So for all that, re-downloading Windows 10 and losing very few apps or data, Kudos to the Geek Squad. My charges were totally covered by Totaltech.

It's totally worth when you're trying to upgrade your home appliances!

The technicians are very knowledgeable and helpful. The coverage under the program is very broad. It is nice to know with electronics so complicated these days, that expert help is always available.

Horrible Service

They have been out here 4 times and the problems is worse than it was to start with. Customer Service with the Geek Squad was no help. I am very unhappy with long times on phone calls. I will never buy from Best Buy again or ever use Geek Squad. I cannot even speak with a Supervisor. Totally unacceptable.

Worth every penny!

I was unaware that this plan existed. After hearing my options I was more than grateful to sign up for this plan that has saved me quite a bit of money. If you have multiple computers this plan is a solid option.

A waste of money

Best Buy forced this down my throat because it covers all of your products for a year only when at the time all i wanted was apple care to go with my Mac. The fine print clearly states the apple care is only valid when to totalcare is valid so i paid $200 for a year of total are and my apple care would expire in a year if i don’t renew the totalcare like why waste my time when i asked for apple care and not this

Totaltech Membership well worth it!

I just purchased 2 washer/dryers, so getting some of the benefits really helped. I am taking advantage of the membership and scheduling my Geek Squad appointments this year! Definitely worth paying the membership!
