I highly recommend Totaltech if you have family and purchase electronics on a regular basis. It has great value and if something gets broken or is defective you will get a new one, most of the time

If you buy something for Best Buy you don’t purchase total tech it doesn’t make sense. They cover everything. And that’s in addition to any AppleCare you make currently have. Definitely worth the purchase

I have learned over the years that Best Buy sells top quality product. WE almost always purchase a protection plan with things we purchase from there so this will save money & protect our investments.

This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with Best Buy. I thought I was buying a TotalTech service that would be able to install my Google thermostat. It turns out that the service is outsourced to a third-party company. The third-party company knew nothing about tech and what they were installing. The air-conditioning system turned into a heating system and warmed my house. Living in Florida on an 85° day that did not go over well. I continually try to contact them about their installation not working. I called them five times with no return phone call. I called the geek squad total tech phone number for them to try to call them and still no return phone call. To me this puts a bad name on the geek squad which I previously always had satisfying experiences with. I literally wasted my whole day waiting for phone calls back. I ended up disconnecting the Google thermostat and installing my old thermostat. Today I canceled the whole service, very disappointing.

We purchased the membership for a security system installation. The automatic totaltech 24 mo warranty for products interferes with any longer warranty you want to purchase. You have to physically go to a store and have them cancel the totaltech automatic 24 mo warranty in order to purchase a longer one. What a waste of time! The coordination between the Geek-squad sales reps and the installation teams is very bad. Best Buy sells High Tech but is very Low Tech itself!! Terrible internal communication between company divisions. They cannot even contact each other on the phone. I had to go to the store, call Geeksquad Express from my cell phone and hold it up to the manager in order to have the store manager talk to the Geek Squad Express Replacement service because they cannot call the store themselves. Unacceptable for a Tech Sales store.

I’ve had total tech in the past, even if you don’t need your electronics work on, it’s also good for lower pricing, little things like if you buy a new screen protector they put it on for free.

This was seriously a stellar purchase. I don't usually go with warranties but I did 6 upgrades on my PC and this paid all the labor costs plus added a 2 year warranty to all my purchases.

Our Total Tech membership has saved us hundreds of dollars on installations alone! Plus Best Buy matches competitor prices. We used to buy the protection plans individually, but this membership a much better value. Highly recommend!

I purchased this when I bought an Apple Watch and was told it’s good for 24 months of protection then after I read the contract it’s really only good for 12 months. Unless you renew it for another $200/yr. I determined that $200 is not worth it for a $200 item that cost $49 to make a claim so I ended up canceling. If I had a lot of Best Buy tech like iPhones, Apple watches, home theater receiver, personal assistant units, surveillance cameras then it would be worth it, because everything would be covered under one agreement. Best Buy also has a problem with their TV mounting service almost every review says it their technicians called and canceled or never showed up. It seems like they don’t have enough experience technicians doing this kind of work.

Overall love the total tech service and value. Got it last year when I had home Reno done and installed new AV system in living room, and have continued it this year. Great benefits overall for the money.

I had two computers that needed some attention, so purchased Total tech to keep costs down. Had some difficulty with software that was installed on one computer but the Geek Squad team members handled situation well at the end.

We’ll worth the cost. You must renew in a year to keep protection plan going but cost still compares to just getting standard protection plan. Best Buy really treats you right when you are a total tech member!

Having unlimited Tech Support from the Geek Squad for every equipment you purchase is so great. The friendly, patient Geek Squad will always solve your problems. They provide answers and advice for your problems.

At first I got this membership just to get a PS5, then I started to actually purchase things to take advantage of the perks. Honestly if you're using it for the perks and the extended warranties it'll pay for itself in the end.

200$ not really worth it purchased without properly evaluating the pros and cons

With the two apple product purchases I’ve made in the last month, this plan has already paid for itself. I gifted some networking hardware to my church and the warranty carries over to them (with the receipt) which is great.

My install for overhead microwave and stove top installation went great. The company that installed the units were very knowledgeable, quick and on time. I Will absolutely recommend this service.

When i bought my computer, this sounded like a great deal. Lots of coverage and some services in case of accidents. However, once they updated the program services (removed a good amount of accidental coverages) and price (big price hike), it was obvious that i was outta there.

We have had the TotalTech account for about a week, and the responsive customer service is impressive. Over the last several years, we have purchased quite a few appliances from BestBuy. Great experience thus far!

The new yearly membership appears to cover a greater variety than have to purchase several. You always hope you never have to use it
