This membership is a good value and it includes the Greek Squad unlimited on all your computer devices. Well worth the price and peace of mind it gives you.

This is my third year with my Best Buy total coverage. It has been worth every penny as a family of techies. We make back the money of paying for the membership every year. I am definitely convinced that this will be a continuous annual subscription.

The value is there depending on which benefits you plan on utilizing- in my opinion, if you are already set on buying one or more big ticket appliances, the membership is probably the route you should take. I decided to purchase the membership because I required installation and haul away services for a dishwasher that I was getting. The cost between paying for said services individually at Best Buy was only slightly cheaper than the cost of the Totaltech membership, so you've essentially broken even as long as you purchase an appliance that require these services. If you plan on purchasing more than 1 appliance that needs installation and haul away, then you are coming out way ahead for every subsequent free service used. Another perk of this program (now that they've done away with the Elite Plus) is the extended return window. 60 days vs 14 days is a huge difference if you are buying a large ticket item to give you some extra peace of mind that your purchase is performing to expectations. You also get extended product protection automatically on most tech and appliance items. Although this is a good benefit to have, this shouldn't be a primary reason to get the membership as the 2nd year is only active if you are still a paying Totaltech member (make sure to read the fine print!). If this benefit is a major influence for you, you are better off just paying for individual protection plans as they are significantly cheaper in the long run than the cost of membership which recurs annually. One other thing that has stood out to me is that there seems to at least be a noticeable difference in the chat and phone teams as a Totaltech member. Wait times are significantly shorter and customer service has been much easier to deal with- the agents seem to really try to provide a solution. Some might argue these should be basic customer service expectations that you shouldn't have to pay extra for, which I wouldn't disagree with, but if you are paying anyways, I guess it's nice to know you are getting a little more attention.

I am an independent contractor, so tech maintenance is my responsibility. The Geeks can usually resolve my problems by remoting into my computer.

Good product and service, great subscription I recommend

At first, I was hesitant because the extra money seemed an awful lot on top of my purchase… But in hindsight, it saved me a lot of money now with my Apple products and computer parts. Having the warranty last for two years for one sum price is very ideal. As well as having any new purchases protected under this warranty. Best Buy Member Deals are also very lucrative.

This membership was an exceptional value. We were able to use it in store when expanding my computer hard drive to a 1T. The GeekSquad handled everything and this membership saved me over $100. We also used it when buying appliances and it also saved us a lot of money. Very simply, if you have a number of electronic items, the savings you get when having work performed, asking questions, the 24/7 support, etc. makes this an incredible deal.

I found this membership worth it. all my purchases were covered under their warranty. like apple care on apple products. And having this membership gave you free apple care on all your apple product purchases at Best Buy.

great membership lowered to total price of an repair and helped me out so much

I've been with them for 2 years and not much problem aside from them always forgetting to clean the dust out my pc. Gotta give them a 4. They are very helpful but, as I've learned they no longer work on replacing hard drives? What the heck happen for them to not learn such a thing? They're called Geek Squad after all. Someone teach these people these things! People shouldn't need to go out of their way to a 3rd party to have these replaced.

This membership is a great value. It covers all your electronics, computers, gadgets, TVs, phones, etc. It comes in handy when something stops working or you can't figure out how to make something work right. I is like your own IT department.
