    Awful Support - Multiple Geek Squad No Shows

    Purchased a TV from Best Buy and needed a mounting service with it from Geek Squad so I got a Totaltech membership. The first service appointment Best Buy did not properly schedule even though it was confirmed over the phone by an agent. By the time I realized that, the next appointment was another 2 weeks out. The second appointment was a no show. The "Geek" squad agent apparently couldn't find the address. GPS led him to the right place, but he sat 20 feet away across the street (one number down from my house). I'm not sure why there was confusion, the street address is clearly labeled on all houses in the neighborhood in large numbers easily visible from the street. Geek Squad called the incorrect phone number while waiting, even though Best Buy definitely had the correct phone number, since I had been receiving reminder texts all week long leading up to the appointment. The next available appointment is now 2.5 weeks out (more than a month from TV delivery). Trying to understand what was going on involved me calling Best Buy and initially being on hold for 20 minutes, then the agent took all my information, researched the issue (while putting me on hold again), and then transferred me to another team... which involved 40 more minutes on hold. I'll be looking at other options to get this done, and for future purchases. One of the worst purchase experiences I've had.

    at the time I thought it would be a good value but so far I'm not seeing the value except it being the same cost as installation maybe it will have some value at some point

    I purchased Total Tech today in hopes of actually purchasing a now-exclusive item. Unfortunately, BB could not activate the membership in a timely fashion and the entire inventory of exclusive items was wiped out by botters. It would appear that TT is a great value for botters as it reduces their competition for product. As a consumer, I can't recommend TT because I was unable to purchase any tech items that might warrant the for this membership.
