This was an unintended purchase and I am glad I had it. I buy a lot of tech items, and small appliances and love the extra service. The service, extra discounts and just basic care put my mind at ease and always motivated me to purchase items I. ended and wanted without hesitation! The conditions changing and not really needing anything at the moment (and sticking to a budget) are the only reasons I didn't renew and canceled early. But, believe me as soon as I buy my next gadget, I'll also be renewing asap!

I think its great to have especially you don't know when your items are gonna go bad. Plus i enjoy the benefits of it. I check daily for deals and the benefit of member discounts.

I saw the email about the transition of the new membership. Although I understand the reasoning, I wish that the anti-virus remained as part of the package. As a member for 7+ years that is one of the things I really enjoyed. There should be a package where folks that enjoy the anti-virus and the in-home installations in a separate package. Food for thought ;-)

My dyson v11 gave out and i didn’t have to pay anything they just send me a new one! It makes me feel comfortable knowing that if my fridge breaks down everything is covered!

Total Tech is an excellent service offered by Best Buys great customer service. It came in quite handy when it provided excellent discount servicing for an electronic appliance that I did not purchase from Best Buy 12 years ago and a desktop PC I purchased 4 years ago. It saved me money even when the warranties on those items expired.

Having My Best Buy Total is such a great benefit as you have strong protection on all your purchases. Worth the expense as it saves money if there are any issues.

I'm disappointed with a recent vaccum purchase from best buy. Realizing I was outside of my 60 day return window, I contacted Best Buy Total Rewards program via chat and phone to inquire on my options. Hoping there was flexibility in honoring a return outside of 60 days. Even if just for in store credit... I contacted and spoke with the service line department and the gentleman that answered arrange an appointment for me to meet with geek squad at the local store. I asked what the likelihood was of the store honoring the return since it was an hour drive and the gentleman indicated that he thought an exchange for in-store credit was likely. Being considerate of my distance to travel he stated that he would also request a call back from the specific store directly so that they could answer my question before making the trip. I never did receive the call. I attempted to call the store beforehand and could never get through to speak with someone at the store. With the strong indication that this option was likely to be approved and I could return for in-store credit, I carefully packaged the item up and make the trip, since I had a scheduled appointment. Unfortunately, I made the trip and the employee that greeted me for my appointment instantly stated they could not honor a return even for in-store credit and that my only options were to ship of the machine to be worked on or else return home with it. He offered to have a manager come over and I said sure, but then when he attempted to radio someone over no one was willing to come speak to me and just relayed verbal comments to him in his earpiece telling him to repeat the same guidance because it wasn't going to change the outcome even if a store manager did come over and speak to me. So I ended up walking out of Best Buy with a vaccum I no longer want and an extremely poor customer service experience. I intend on ending my total rewards membership prior to it's auto renewal date, and I'm unlikely to be shopping for products from this store for quite some time. The poor customer service was more discouraging than this disappointing vaccum. I would recommend buyers purchase a corded vaccum.
