Membership has advantages, but this was definatly an unnecessary 'upsell'. I could have / should have gotten most of the services I will use on this paid membership for free based on my equipment purchases and specials at the time.

I have had this plan for a few year, but only needed it a couple of times. Glad I have the protection.

So far I have used My Best Buy Total annual membership just to transfer my data from mynold notebook to my new one, but I like the fact that my new notebook is covered for two years and that I can get a discount on any repairs on other electronic items that might need fixing. It gives me a sense of security knowing I am covered by very qualified people that can help me.

A great deal for the price. It covered the cost of the data transfer from my old computer to the new one ($100). The Geek Squad was very helpful in recovering my McAfee which was an expensive purchase that was incurred right before my old computer died. I also was able to get their assistance in transferring my Microsoft membership to the new computer.

Purchased it because I had to in order to have my lap top looked at. Something was using up all my storage space and figured for the $180 I would at least get half my GB back but ended up with 4GB restored or over 400GB still taking up space. I felt I spend the money unnecessarily. I at least expected to find out why Im using so much storage when I only pay bills and check emails on my lap top. Geek Squad should have a separate fee for a maintenance on computers, say $69.99 and also give the option of a year membership for $180. But to rope almost $200 when I really wasnt ready to pay that much for a year membership, I felt taken. The staff was very informative and polite. I have no complaints about the people that I talked with.

Such a great product/membership. I have loved the best buy total or what was called Total Tech Support since I started purchasing things from Best Buy years ago. I constantly am suggesting this for my clients, friends and family. It is a valuable product to have.

This membership was purchased based on a discount of $300 of a blink camera system from $499 to $199 with the purchase of the $199 Best Buy Total Membership. I have since had my phone worked on and both of my Latitude E6430 computers evaluated and updated, one included a new hard drive.

Membership seems to be valuable to me in future. Would recommend to others.
