TotalTech (includes Geek Squad) is well worth the money- extended warranty, free shipping, free assembly/set up, in-person technical support. Geek Squad associates are very nice and competent. I love being a Total Tech member!

I never really used it, but the staff at Best Buy convinced me and I'm happy I had the extra coverage.

I had problems in the past with one year warranties. A week after the warranty expires, the product quits. Not anymore with Best Buy’s totally cool plan. Made me feel safe and totally covered on all my products!!

I bought the membership to help transfer all the functions/info/apps etc, from old laptop to the new one purchased at Best Buy. The results were subpar and I had to complete a LOT of the functions myself. Certainly NOT wowed by this service.

If you are going to buy anything at BB this should be it. Ihis covers my computer, TV and Quest. We all know how easy it is to have these toys go south in a minute. Repairs are expensive. This reduces or removes those costs. Also the added time to be able to return things is great.

This membership truly offers exceptional value. The combination of exclusive member prices and unlimited Geek Squad support is fantastic. Additionally, the added peace of mind that comes with securing protection plans for all purchases adds another layer of satisfaction to the overall membership experience.

I found me Best Buy agent to be very pleasant and well informed of my questions, all of which were answered.

I came in for a broken MacBook keyboard. The girl told me that with the membership, I can take my laptop to surrounding stores and they’ll repair it completely free if I got the membership that day. When I went to pickup my MacBook, the gentleman said that no stores do that and that Best Buy as a whole doesn’t repair MacBook keyboards. I’m glad I was able to cancel and get my money back but I felt scammed and like she had a quota to fill and took advantage of me at a vulnerable time.

My membership was not honored and I was deceived into buying this. I had previously purchased this membership when I bought a laptop from Best Buy. The membership lapsed temporarily due to the card on file getting hacked. When I returned to have the laptop fixed I added a new card on file and they told me all repair costs would be covered and if they couldn't fix the laptop, it would be replaced. Well the laptop could not be fixed and they would not replace it due to the short lapse in coverage. After I then asked for a refund on the membership because they refused to replace the laptop, like they originally said they would, they gave me less than 50% of what I paid for the membership because I had "taken advantage of the services" ie I had them take a look at my laptop and say "lol nothing we can do" all for $100+. Do not buy. Do not recommend

I don't have to use this often but the Best Buy team was great at helping fix my faulty Windows OS installation. Unfortunately had to reinstall all my programs.

membership has proved useful and cost effective multiple times every year.

This has already saved me money on migrating data from my old phone to my new one.

I got the totaltech membership when my old laptop (that I bought through BestBuy in 2018) died because the motherboard got fried. I wanted to take the data off and it would've ended up costing me about the same just for that service as getting the totaltech membership, so I opted for this. They took the data off my laptop and covered the cost of the external drive they'd put everything on, which was awesome. I then bought parts and built my own pc, and I bought some from BestBuy because I got the protection plan. I will say getting the free shipping and protection plans on things has made me more likely to shop here over other big online retailers, and I'd say that the membership has paid for itself for me, since I was buying so much tech at the time. The membership even got me a logitech gaming mouse for free (normally $40) because I needed a new one and was browsing here and noticed. If you are in the market for a lot of tech / appliances I do think that this is worth it, but probably only for the duration that you think you'll be buying stuff at high rates.

As of my last update in January 2022, Best Buy's membership program, Best Buy Totaltech, offers various benefits like exclusive discounts, free shipping, and extended return windows. I thought i would use this membership once and get rid of it. But it has been incredibly useful.
