This membership is a good way to keep your electronics in good working order. Helps keep the viruses out. I use it all the time to keep my electronics in good working order. If I have a problem, I take my pc or tablet in to be cleaned and inspected. Love it!!!!!!! No Charge with Total Tech.

Terrible experience with this. Bought the membership because I was told it would be cheaper than having Geek Squad look at my computer for a one off. Went in because my laptop wasn't turning on. They took out the hard drive and told me everything was gone and it "must have been exposed to a magnet". They gave it back without the charger, then when i asked for it, it the charger had gone missing. A quick google search told me that a magnet would have to be huge do do something like this to a computer. The magnet exposure theory made no sense at all. Took the laptop to an outside party for repair. I was told someone had to have taken the hard drive out and wiped it for it to look like this. He's never seen this from a hard drive that was operating inside a computer. There was also physical damage to the laptop, the right side hinge that meets the monitor was broken. Meanwhile, I ended up buying a new computer from Best Buy. So they got my membership fee, broke my computer, made up a story, and then sold me a new computer. Don't ever go to Best Buy for any kind of technical support. I tried reaching out to the company via phone and live chat, never got a response back. One customer service agent told me he had scheduled the store manager to call me back. I never got a call back.

This membership saved us quite a bit of money on the purchase of our refrigerator.

I first got my Geek squad membership for my computers, and when I purchased my appliances, the installation was free. I had forgotten about my membership and when I started given the salesperson my information, they said that I was a member. I really didn't know about all the perks offered with the membership; it was great.
