Geek squad membership is a must have. It’s one of those things you never knew you needed.

I am a Best Buy Total evangelist. I am telling my family and friends that it is the ultimate Best Buy experience. From the preview of special deals to the extra support and coverage, it is SO worth the membership fee. I have always been a Best Buy fan, but this membership tier has locked me in.

This membership gives you piece of mind to an extent. I haven’t used it to its fullest extent yet but it is there if I need it.

The warranty side of this membership is a scam; only purchase this membership if it will save you on delivery and installation when you purchase your products. The goal of Best Buy after that is to get the current membership to cancel, and then they will sell it to you again the next time as a "renewal," which is actually a new membership that will not cover any of your previous purchases. The Samsung Bespoke Refrigerator I purchased just broke; the ice tray froze and fell into the ice bucket, and they filled the whole tray with water." after only 18 months. When I went in to check, my online dashboard for purchases stated I am covered through November of 2024. When I called for service, they said they could help by offering 20% off the repair service, a benefit of my current membership, since my membership for this particular item was canceled for nonrenewal due to the card on file not processing. In November of 2023, I thought I was renewing the "my Best Buy total" membership; I was buying a new one, which only covered current and future purchases, not previous ones. My previous one had expired in September of 2023. Best Buy's process is to email you if, for some reason, your card on file doesn't work or they don't have one, and it is time for renewal. Of course, these emails come with the flood of Best Buy sales emails, so most of us will overlook them, and your online dashboard for purchases still shows all of them are covered; it's only under the separate heading of the membership dashboard directly that shows what products are active or canceled. I know it's my fault at the end since I didn't pay attention to the emails but Best Buy's process and what they lead their customer to believe about the service and what is and is not covered is very misleading.

This membership is priceless. So reassuring that you can get your problems solved easily. Staff is knowledgeable and patient.

Just bought this dishwasher and so far it has been superior to our old one which would take three hours to run the normal cycle and you had to pre-wash all of the dishes. With this dishwasher, there’s no pre-wash needed which saves time and water, quick 1 hour cycle and it also dries the plastics for you.

This membership saved my pocketbook. It coverage everything from setup/data transfer to replacement of a computer when I damaged mine. I couldn't believe how comprehensive the membership is. Also, access to the Geek Squad makes it feel like I have my own IT department.

We purchased the TotalTech membership when purchasing my daughter's laptop for school. Despite being pretty tech savvy myself, I felt that the peace of mind that TotalTech was offering me was a great exchange for the price. Although I didn't intend spending that much, I don't regret it one bit. Especially since I can extend it to future purchases.

My desktop was dying. Griding sound. I knew I was long overdue for a new computer so I got a HP 2 in 1. Totaltech set it up. Got my files from my old computer onto it. Installed Chrome that had all my program saves. Happy I didn't lose anything there. I am disappointed that they couldn't transfer some programs. They didn't tell me if there was any way to get that done.

Best Buy Total Members Membership Membership for Xbox Game Pass was included and it is so worth it. The $200 a year is worth a game pass, fubotv, and all the perks that comes with it. ABSOLUTELY recommend the Best Buy Membership!!

Well this was a waste of time and my money. The Geek Squad was unable to fix my software problem on one laptop and on another they say I need a new Hard drive. Pretty frustrating experience waiting hours for them to tell me "The person that does software (Outlook) is too busy to look at your problem". This is after spending two to three hours on 3 different days. As far as the other laptop goes - I will most likely get a hard drive but I am not sure I will have them install it.

I rated this four of five because the Geek Squad help is uneven and the accents occasionally impossible for this Texan to get through. Otherwise it's a decent value, especially when shopping for larger appliances.

I bought this plan for the benefits it provides. I enjoy knowing that my purchases have protections besides what the manufacturer provides. In addition there is a rotating selection of products that are available at discounted member only prices. The price of the plan is well worth the peace of mind it gives me.

My son is always in need of repairs to his devices, and without this membership, it would cost me hundreds of dollars. Shout out to Best Buy for this awesome service.
